I just started SBR and really hope it gets animated, but the thing that bothers me is how impossible ppl are making it seem to animate horses. While difficult they've done it before can could so easily just loop a 12 frame animation for the running. Ppl who focus on the horses mythologized them and became an immovable object situation.

i think its delayed because they want to make it as good looking as possible, create plenty of advertising and the extra time would allow them to recruit the best actors possible, this might be the best outcome possible

hes one of my fav ngl the way he looks is disgusting but good and his blood demon art is also good and the sounds he makes are funny

i think Mappa would do more justice to jojo's than david productions as far as artstyle and maybe animation goes. But the sound effects and music will be very different i imagine

I don't really think that Disney Plus cares about being a family-friendly streaming service anymore. That was really hurting them especially competing with other streaming service who had more adult customers like Netflix, Max, Paramount Plus ect. Now the fused Hulu with their service to have more revenue with adults and having so of the shows TV-MA like the Marvel series now. So I can see Steel Ball Run can airing on their streaming service.

At this times, I just want Araki to keep on going with that unhuman creativity in the manga. The anime will come eventually and im going to cry the moment I see any concrete evidence of an animated SBR, but im happy with the manga for the moment.

It's clear the current studio working with Araki has produced AMAZING episodes thus far. My worry with changing studios is how much can they maintain the quality of jojo that we've come to expect... animation is one thing, but theres the music choice as well as the openers! Granted is one thing to change one good studio to another, but if the studio is failing then unfortunately a change is necessary.

I watch like 2-4 episodes everyday for like about 7-9 days a month since I watch it with my brother and dad. (Yes I had to watch the freaky ahh magnet scene with my dad) So it will take my a long long loooooong time to get to sbr. So, if I make it to sbr and its not out in anime form, then they really slow.

It'll probably be 2026. DAVID Productions has animated all JoJo parts, including Part 6 for Netflix. But DAVID Productions is currently working on FIRE FORCE Season 3. The problem is that FIRE FORCE will have a split-season. The first part will air in April 2025 & the second part will air in January 2026. Lmao, you could be right, MAPPA could animate this, like they animate EVERY ANIME EVER

this is hilarious... They would never consider announcing it so late. They would want to build up hype for the better part of a year if not more than a year. This is probably the single most important part in the show, so having it be reserved for a surprise short-term drop would be asinine on the producers part.

given the main issue i'm seeing and agreeing with is getting the horses to look good, im supporting the idea of letting whoevers animating sbr take their time and not overwork themselves just for deadlines, if it needs more time it needs more time and i can certainly wait

i really don't want part 7 to be animated by mappa. i think they've done a great job with series like chainsaw man and jujutsu kaisen, but i feel like every show mappa adapts loses it's personal style and just becomes a mappa show. like there's something about their artstyle or animation style that makes everything muddy and distinctly mappa. steel ball run has a very strong visual identity that i'd like to see preserved in an adaptation, so i'm hoping david pro works on it again. not to even mention the fact that mappa would literary sacrifice lives to get this adaptation done if they get it, although i'm not sure if david pro has better working conditions necessarily

the high fidelity mappa is famous for might be detrimental to a jojo series due to how stylised it is but I'm still excited at the idea. Sbr has such beautiful art so mappa could be the perfect fit?

Give the fans 6 months, and a warehouse and part 7 jojo is going to get finished before the official anime. Unless araki made in Heaven the entire Milky way and we lose it 💀

The animation needs to be top studio and need to retain the manga artstyle with old music director and sound designer will b flawless..... Imagine. Mappa or ufostable or witt studio animating 7 8 9 atleast some of the part need to get animation recognition particularly Chainsaw man and jujutu is one of the wasted potential for any anime created there are so much better manga still sleeps in shelves 😢

They are not the best studio when compared to ones like mappa, wit, bones etc, but I really hope David Pro keeps adapting jojo, they just do it really well. For some reason every single mappa anime I have tried watching I get bored, except chainsaw man but that was probably fue to the hype of it being new for me. I can't put my finger on it because I appreciate they are a very good studio.
