Sound in NJ was amazing from my seat, and that makes such a difference. These venues really sell some seats where the sound is uneven. I went to another concert and had that problem - so I sympathize.

FYI, for the whole tour i mean the HEREH con, it's the first time that she didn't have any backup vocals (usually 2 ladies if you gonna watch previous fancams of old IU concerts) The backing vocal tracks (which are recorded ofc) it's her own voice. SHE always records her own backing vocals even at the studio recorded songs (the albums which she produced since 2015)

All the child performers were from each of the cities where the concert was held. The little girl at the lead in to Celebrity was not one of the dancers but was also from the local area. The banners were printed and distributed at the concert site by the newly formed US Ueana fan club. Each banner was different and the fan club paid the cost and volunteers handed out the banners. The QR code on the banner will Take you to there site. They did an incredible job. I am sure it cost a lot to print all these banners and helping support them is important. I was interested in your comment about the sound. I was at the concert in Atlanta and was extremely disappointed in the sound quality. IU's microphone at times was to low and her voice wasn't being pushed out front. Meaning their were times, too many times were the band was over powering her vocals. I don't know who the sound engineers were or who they actually worked for. From what I could see they appeared to Americans, and if that is the case they did a crappy job most of the night. I was seat directly behind them and not once did I see any effort on their part to make any adjustments. You can hear these issues in the fan cams. Which is also Interesting because so many of the fan cams from her Seoul concerts sound so good. I have not heard anyone else beside you make this comment. I even posted about this on the US Ueana chat, but no one has replied to it.

Hi Merlin, I came across your blog randomly and really enjoyed it. We are exactly the same in that I first saw IU in her amazing and versatile acting abilities (My Mister and Hotel del Luna), then got attracted to her music. So as I write to you, you're at her concert in Chicago now, and I was at her DC concert on Monday! I was in the 5th row, on the right section, probably 50 ft from the stage. It was AMAZING! And all week, since I came home, I have been reliving those moments. I so much love her engagement with the audience, and the sing-along! I don't know any other concert where that happens. Everyone is just totally involved. And she expresses her emotions so well. And my favorite song is the same, Orange Sun, but I never knew the lyrics in English. Just the music alone is emotional for me.

Oh, you'll hear her speak in English at the concert 😁 Actually IU seems to have the innate talent to speak clearly even in foreign languages. She's also known in S.Korea for her clear diction. In concerts outside S.Korea, she always try to speak the local language and even sing some local songs yet, according to fans, she barely have accent which I can support since she spoke and sang a local song in my native language when she came in our country and she almost sounded like she's a local😆 very clear and even the intonation. She even beats other foreign people who lived here for years yet still speak with heavy accent of their mother tongue.

In fact I loved IU as an actress at the beginning... then I discovered her lyrics and I started to love her as a singer in a way I didn't think was possible! As Gong Yoo said in the Palette episode, IU's acting and singing styles are very similar, because they both convey emotions in a direct and genuine way ♥️ I went to the concert in Berlin and... dreamcatcher \:D/ nice to see you back checking out the girls. think it's been a couple comebacks so hope all is well on your end :) I think some of the comments you made were the intention of the ootd-justice duo. ootd was showing the excessive nature of entertainment while justice took a huge step back and even had a lot of callbacks to their older mvs. the ending scene with siyeon playing a cassette tape is perhaps a nod to when things were more simple, more real, where it be music, entertainment, or other aspects of society. the destruction of the crown at the end maybe represents the need to do away with these unnecessary excesses.

nice you went into it blind :D originally I thought the apocalypse trilogy was going to be about environmental hazards but now it appears they are addressing any issues that could lead to an apocalypse on earth. maison was about the environment. vision seems to me to be anti-war. other than the lyrics there are several imagery of both war and peace and it ends with their peace hand signal.

Congrats to you on discovering an amazing group, I just found them lately, and love their choreography too, very energetic and dynamic. And I also love their new song Beautiful Monster so much.

Enjoyed watching your reaction to their dance practice. It’s really amazing how they designed these choreography with creative formations and transitions for an even numbered member group.
