@@rafid0028 hi! Nice to hear your story! They are indeed special. Chirpy lived with us for 11 months and later she found company in wild birds nearby. There were many Bulbuls who came to visit her in our balcony and after a month of observation, Chirpy decided to fly away with them. I hope she is well and happy wherever she is.

@@dimplejoon7254 Hi! Their tummy gets full very quickly and they keep feeding every hour or two. Let them eat on their own whenever they are hungry..and for banana, mash them really nicely or keep the ripe ones infront of them without the ‘chilka’ they will start to eat on their own.

@@dimplejoon7254 also please try not to give them baby food if it has milk products. Birds cannot digest milk of any sorts.

@@pRiyAnkaDagalSanGma I tried but can't eat on their own, they are 2 weeks old and still not standing on their legs should I be worried?

@@dimplejoon7254 please try to feed them through dropper. I did the same thing with Chirpy until she grew up and started eating on her own. 2 weeks old and not able to stand, I am not sure if that is something to be worried about. I think reaching out to a vet is the right approach. And once they start flying please try soft-releasing them😊

Hello ma’am! So good to hear about the rescue! They are very adorable. My chirpy started flying at about 2-2.5 months old. She started with taking small flights initially and after her feathers were all fully grown about 4 months old, she took long flights.

I also rescued only 10 days old red vented bulbul and now it is 2.5 months old......but it is still not confident to fly away......we live at ninth floor in society and it goes down and sit on the earth and start waiting for rescue again.....there are cats......I am very worried about its free life.....I'm also not confident if it can survive in the forest or not. Pls advice

Hi! She must be already 5-6 months old if her red feathers started to appear. That means feeding every 4-5 hours is fine. Normally, she should be eating on her own whenever she is hungry. You can keep her foods in places where she can have access to, so that she can eat them whenever she is hungry. They don’t eat much, so they keep on snacking throughout the day. For more nutrients, you can feed her live worms, and yes continue with the bananas and soft fruits. In my case, Chirpy used to sit at the edge of my plate whenever I ate and she used to nibble on foods I ate. I was careful not to keep foods that could choke her. Hope these answer helps you. For the bird of that age, you can start feeding him/her soft foods like mashed Bananas with a tweezer (that’s what I did) I am not sure if there’s any other way. Hi! Sorry about the delay. I had already mentioned in this video the food that I used to feed Chirpy. Just that, please don’t add salt or sugar in their diet. Apart from that, bananas are great and other fruits as well. I had started giving live worms to Chirpy around 2 months which is also important. However, living with humans makes them try what we eat also. Chirpy used to nibble rice and veggies from my plate..so I used to keep boiled veggies on my plate as well😅 They keep eating little here and there throughout the day. Hope this helps. Hi! Since the bird has already started to fly, it is a bit difficult to gain the trust. You can start by approaching the bird just yourself. Refrain other family members for some time being. Once the bird sees only one person interacting and feeding him, he will start trusting you. Please use a tweezer kind of thing to feed the food which replicates the beak of his bird mom. At this age, they tend to eat every 1 hour. Feed him mashed bananas and soft foods. Make sure to darken the room where he is after sunset. I hope this works!😊

Hi! It is the same dilemma we faced with Chirpy. Their bonding becomes too strong with humans and releasing them back to the wild is not advisable at all. We become their families as we are the only ones they have known growing up. However, my suggestions would be : 1. If you know any local bird rehabilitation centre, please reach out to them as they are the expert. 2. If there are no such rehabilitation centre, then please start soft-releasing your Bulbul right from your own house. Keep a window open and let her explore the area. Initially, she won’t step outside, even if she does, please make sure that she is able to locate her way back home. Continue this for as long as it needs to be. And one day she will mingle with the wild bulbuls. I had uploaded a daily routine video of Chirpy here ruclips.net/video/qEVRlaEEaiI/видео.htmlfeature=shared 📌In my case, Chirpy stayed with us for 11 months, she started getting regular visitors of wild bulbuls on our balcony. But we also don't want her to spend her whole life in a cage ( we have a dog so cannot keep her open all day without supervision). Hence we were in this dilemma and were wondering if she will be able to survive outside on her own. Thanks for your advice. Will try to slowly get her used to the outside world. If sh chooses to come back to us. Then that's ok too:) Just wanted to give her the option to be free.
