How I use CAD without a CNC #shorts #short #shortvideo
Просмотров 1532 года назад
So this is one of the many ways I use CAD to help my design and building process. It's an incredibly powerful tool, that is really easy as long as you play around with it and truly appreciate what it can do to help you. I personally use Fusion 360, but would love to get into SOLIDWORKS and a few others down the line. Drop a comment below to let me know how CAD helps you with it without a CNC
BBQ smoker hinge build video - Easy repeatable way to build heavy duty door hinges

Without hinges, it'd be pretty hard to open doors. In today's video, I show you how I go about making my barrel style hinges on all pits that come out of GreenMoney Fabrications. This is part of the larger video I will be putting out when the build is done of the "Not so 5 day 500 gallon offset smoker build". If you found this useful, like comment and subscribe. Thanks!
5 day 500 build clip Bending and shaping cook chamber doors
Просмотров 6882 года назад
Here's a quick video showing how I go about installing cook chamber door supports on doors that have moved on me. These doors already had the trim fully welded on, which is a leading factor to door warpage if you do it when the doors are pre installed. So, using a bottle jack, some chain and some 2x4s I convince these doors to get back into shape with little effort.

    Do you still run this machine? I just bought a 4x8 series one with issues and would like to see if I could trouble you for some pics of the control cabinet wiring.

      Hi, I still run it but with the sparks upgrade

      But I still have the cabinet, what do you need?

      I need a couple pics of the control card wiring so I can make sure mine is wired correctly (previous owner swapped parts and now it does weird things). I plan on swapping it over to a centroid acorn set up if I can’t get it lined out with factory parts. There is basically no info on these machines that I can find since they went out of business.

    What size round and tube did you use for your hinges? What round did you use for the jig?

    • @greenmoneyfab9643
      @greenmoneyfab9643 2 года назад

      The round stock I use is 5/8", and I machined the tube to be a 5/8" fit and then sliced it with a cutting wheel to allow for expansion with the heat. What I do now is use a brass bushing with a 5/8" I'd and a 3/4" od and use 3/4" id tubing
