I was a youth when this came out but never remembered "George" (of course he wouldn't become famous for another decade), or this nutty commercial. A festivus for the rest-of-us! My GOD this seem so ridiculous. They're acting/promoting in a way like they solved cold fusion. Sorta like a Seinfeld episode, come to think of it. I probably ate a few of these novelty burgers, and they were underwhelming....

The problem was the hot side wasnt going to stay hot for long if it was open to the air and the cool side wouldnt stay cool once it was flipped onto the hot side so end of the day as Jason himself stated on Letterman years later it was a mess of a burger and utterly pointless. But he sold it with gusto regardless.

If McDonald's brings this back they should get Jason Alexander in a obvious Toupee doing the same jingle for the Commercial.
