Interesting AU ending. He always knew how reprehensible his actions were and to a point understood what he did is unjustifiable but he continued to delude himself to the end into thinking he was the hero, hence the canon ending. Honestly speaking, I don't really think it is any different than the canon ending. Like canon, he pretty much escaped his consequences and took the cowards' way out. Really, I'd rather he live and spend the rest of his life atoning for what he's done. I don't think death solves anything but honestly speaking, this is the most possible alternate ending someone like Jimmy could've had and probably the most possible alternate progression of his character it if situations were slightly different. It's not out of the realm of possibility and of belief, given what we know of Jimmy, for this to be another ending. I can see this happening. At least here, he didn't delude himself into thinking he was the hero and accepted that he was, in fact, the villain of this story. The only real silver lining to this.

This looks amazing and it actually doesn't feel out of character. Despite the things he says, it seems like Jimmy knows deep down that he is in the wrong, his hallucinations are an evidence of that, but instead of actually facing his guilt he lies to himself, him saying that he fixed everything in the end it's just him lying to himself. So much that a lot of things his says are hypocritical when you play the game again. What you did is essentially an ending where Jimmy stops lying to himself and actually takes responsibility from what he has done, he won't get punished for his crimes because he won't survive for long, but at least he now acknowledged what he has done.

Jake's relationship with Tom and his friends is proof that money doesn't compare to friendships and love.
