Blame irem the company for not making the sequel of this game. Apparently the lead guy for making this one left to form a company called granzilla if I’m not mistaken. But since the Fukushima nuclear disaster, Irem has been primarily focused on making panchiko pinball machines as of late.

Just imagine if "Steamboat Chronicle 2" revives again along with other games that have been cancelled, I'm sure the fandom next door who is waiting for someone on the moon will be even more panicked.

Steambot chronicle got cancelled, tail concerto got cancelled. It's kind sad that most of shareholder would only approve "safe games" for a remake/sequel.

Wish this game had a bigger following. Super impressive game given the time it came out, with tons of content and meticulous details. Also just an overall fun world and gameplay loop. Steambot Chronicles definitely deserved better

Holy crap! I have been trying to remember the name of this game. I LOVED this game. I've gotta get it again.

It really is a damn shame that Steambot Chronicles never got a sequel. I hope that we'll end up getting it at some point later down the line. On a positive note, it does seem that some people at Granzella has showed at least a passing interest in making a sequel, so there's still hope that maybe it'll be made. Who knows really.
