What were your qualifications?
Can you also prepare answers as well in the next video so that we can get the idea btw great job!
How many hours you do your teaching job?
@@general-study. 7 hours, not including a 1 hour lunch break :)
First of all, you're brave! You, choosing to start this channel 2 years ago definitely would have opened gates of not just oppurtunities but also Hope (Which is pretty scarce in our indian society when it comes to exploring oppurtunities in non-english speaking countries), which makes you the super-woman for indians that aspire ALT. And yeah, Thank you for your efforts. Hope you're doing well and update us with your fun filled journey along with a salt of reality check here and there. Otsu~
Thank you for this video. It’s very insightful and detailed.
Can I know the Name of your ShareHouse please!! It seems so cool, clean and beautiful sharehouse that i have seen. Important: is it only for women? 😅

I got the Emplyment Application Form from them recently. Can you tell me what to fill in References section? Is that about Education Or Work?
@@it.s_balu if you have work references, those would be better.
Hi …. Did they provide accommodation for you? Then your flight ticket as well … did they sponsor it?
Could you please tell me that ,now can an Indian apply for ALT,? .... Thanks in advance and please please reply
@@timeoutwithshaa Yes, Indians can apply to be ALTs if they meet all the necessary conditions.

Love watching your videos ❤ .Can you please tell me about JET Programme . Is it possible for indians to get an ALT job through JET.
Hi, I've mentioned whatever little information I have about Indians in the JET programme in this video. ruclips.net/video/i6m2lF2LN9Q/видео.htmlsi=I17A8hmfdUk4M8HB
Bro I am arriving in February 2025. Hope you can help me with some general doubts.
Thanks for sharing
That's very expensive. Isn't it?
It is expensive, yes, but my initial move in fee with the apartment Borderlink provided me was exorbitant. If I compare both amounts for the time I was in Japan, what I paid for my share house vs the amount I would have had to pay had I chosen the BL apartment in my school area- it comes up to almost the same number. Apart from that, as I have mentioned in the video, this choice definitely made my life a lot easier. I never had to buy furniture, never had to set up gas/water/ and internet connection. I never had to worry about disposing off my furniture when I moved out.The area I lived in was also important to me- It was safe, residential area with a lot of young families. The train station was a five minute walk away, I had multiple supermarkets, pharmacies/medical supply stores, conbinis, clinics and restaurants within a 15 minute walk. I had a massive, fully-equipped kitchen (basically impossible to come by in a 1K). I had people around me right from the word go and all these people ended up becoming very good friends. If I was ever sick or needed help, there was always someone- you can't put a price on that (at least I couldn't). I know of people that have had good experiences with apartments in Japan and I know those that haven't. At the given time, a share house seemed like the right fit for me and really proved to be so, right up until the day I left.
@@shivaasaemeow5771 😮 I see. I can see the difference now ... Also Ig in BL appartment it could have been lonely... The price seems reasonable now ... Thankyou for clarifying
Idk how I missed your video... But I'm glad you are back❤
Likes and dislikes ? With the help of fruits ? Could you please elaborate it
For example: 'What fruits do you like?' - 'I like strawberries' or 'I don't like cherries'. Using the correct volume, pauses, speed, gestures etc.
@@shivaasaemeow5771 thanks, I had today my PROGOS speaking test, will have my final interview after few days so hope for the best, are you still there ?
@@shivaasaemeow5771 could you kindly tell me about the tenses they ask in the interview?
Nice tour shiva, how much does a share house cost per month
Hi, I’ve mentioned my rent in the caption but you can also check prices on the TokyoShareHouse app :)
It's such a nice place, will you continue being an alt
you look so cuteeeeee🥰🥰
Hey ! I just did my Progos I’ve got a B1 High as my test results is it a good or an average score to get through the one to one intrw??? Pls reply 😢❤
Hi! Unfortunately I can't help with this because when I was hired, we didn't have to take the Progos test, it's a new thing, so I have no idea how the scores work tbh. Sorry :(
The cost of living in Japan is a lot
Hey, do you remember the questions they asked you in Japanese?
1:35
Hi Shivani, I am invited for the borderlink group interview. Any suggestions you could give me? Or the type of questions they ask? Anything that I can prepare before? Your reply would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Hi, I've made a video on the interview process for Borderlink based on my experience giving the interviews in 2021. You can find it on my channel. :) I would say- just be yourself, smile, dress neatly and speak clearly. One never really knows exactly what each interviewer is looking for so just put your best foot forward. All the best :)
👋 Hello, If I may ask, How was your interview, what did they asked? I have no experience in teaching before but I wanna give this time a shot since Im currently in Japan.
Is the jet program only for people native english speakers or anyone can apply as long as they meet the required english language proficiency standard ? thanks in advance :)
If they hire from your country, you can definitely apply :) The Japanese embassy in your country would be able to tell you if the JET program is recruiting from your country or not.
'm an elementary school teacher. Thanks to ALT, we are very grateful. ありすがとう!
こちらこそありがとうございました!😊✨
Good to listen you.
Please check email I have emailed you... 😊😊🙏🏻🙏🏻 Thank you
Hi Jyoti, I filled the form digitally, on my computer (Downloaded the form and then used text boxes to type in my details) but I'm guessing you can print it out, fill it by hand and then scan and re upload it :)

I need your contact
Hey I am moving to Japan in March 2025 with Interac, Can you please make a video about your initial experience like housing, first month at school and everything else like contracts and stuff.
Hi, I will try doing a live video sometime to answer these questions.
Me too.
Hello, how long did it take them to get back to you after the phone interview? And how was the interview process? Kindly reply
Hey! Welcome back. Have been waiting for you❤. Could you please make a video on interview as well? Like, orientation + preliminary interview, one on one interview and it's 3 parts? How and what things should we avoid to pass interviews
Hello! To be completely frank, my interview happened close to three years ago so I’m a little hazy on the details. Whatever I do remember, I have put in my interview process video :) I will still try and see if there’s any useful content I can think of in terms of interviews but as of now I can’t promise anything. You can always look up ALT interviews and there’s already many ALTs that have shared their experiences. Hopefully those might be helpful!
@@shivaasaemeow5771 that's totally understandable. And will wait for any extra information you might recall. ❤️
Hey are still saving up monthly? Current economy rate? Can you make a seperate video about it? I have watched your previous video... But can you update it now?

Hi Shivani, I am filling up the borderlink form and it requires few references’ name. Should I just let it be if I do not have any reference? Im
The reference part might be important. Could a former teacher/professor/employer write you a reference maybe?
@@shivaasaemeow5771 I am a fresher so I don’t have a professional reference and I am not connected to any of my teachers. So, I am in a pickle right now.
@@jeonsky6910 Are you not in touch with absolutely any of your teachers/mentors? Even a school teacher would do in a situation like this. If not then maybe google what to do in a situation like yours. That would give you better answers than I can, since I haven’t faced this situation :(

Thanks Shivani. It was really helpful since I had been looking for someone who was working with borderlink.
Thank you for your comment, I’m glad it helped :)
