Updating the Creality Ender 3 S1 Firmware from v3.0.4 to 3.1.9 or 3.2.0. Creality Ender 3 S1 3D Printer Print Issue

For some reason my Creality Ended 3 S1 started being a brat. it prints stuff alright at times and then it does not. I have re calibrated the bed, adjusted the z-axis, cleaned the bed with 92% alcohol, but still no fix. It would print stuff alright in one go, and as soon as I will print something new, it will start messing up. Please Help!!

Great video, however I cannot get the firmware to update on the machine. The screen updates, but after that I cannot get to the screen that lets you select English. It just shows the random coordinates at the bottom. Any advice?
@@xXTimEproductionsXx If the screen is not showing everything properly and you are only able to see the numbers, the update did not complete successfully. I had the same issue initially, so I reverted to the old screen firmware and then updated to the newer one. Also, for some reason, you have to upgrade in order of the release. So if you have 3.0.4 initially, upgrade to 3.1.9, and then to 3.2.0. or the update will fail. Hope this helps.

I see that you’re still pretty active on YT. Was this a pretty easy install? How do you like it after 4 years?
I still love it. The Lexus is not my daily driver anymore, I drive it over the weekends now, but I sure love to rev it up every now and then. The sound is still superb without being overpowering and overbearing. It took me and my buddy about an hour to install it because one of the bolts on the driver's side was being stubborn. First, it didn't want to come off, and then it didn't want to go back. So after trying for about 10 minutes on it, we decided it was time for a break. haha. But overall, the installation was pretty straight forward. It is doable if you want to do it by yourself, but it gets easier if you have a helping hand.

Very cool. Just bought a 3 ton pitts and then realized I had seen Torins on eBay for good price. Got a 3 ton on sale low profile for $100. Torin 2.5 is in eBay for $70. Hmmm
all wen t well to a certain point after the screen update had finished and i moved on to the step to use the standard sd card in the machine the screen is sat on the creality logo with the temps down the bottom but nothing els any ideas ?
@@joshreddington3195 if your screen is not showing everything correctly, more than likely your screen update failed. I had the same issue initially, I reverted to the older firmware and tried updating it from there and that worked. Hope this helps.

You should really show on camera what you are actually doing and clicking on for those of us that haven't done this before. You point or put the camera down at key points making us guess as to what you're actually doing, defeating the purpose of the video, like with the "DWIN_SET" and "DWIN_SET". Do you just copy it to the TF card twice? Also, the 3.1.9 firmware....is that just for the motherboard? I got lost somewhere between the display and motherboard and then the 3.1.9 working over the 3.2? Lol I appreciate your video, Im just unsure of which to do over the other.
For me nothing is happening after putting the DCBOOT.BIN file in. (It shows the regular screen after following all the steps) Any suggestions?
Hi, I have a doubt, after placing the micro with the boot.bin and turning it off the next time it turned the printer on the screen didn't wake. Is there a chance you know what probably happened?
Make sure your micro SD card is under 8GB, and also formatted to FAT32 with allocation size set to 4096 bytes before you insert it in to the Micro SD Card slot of the screen, or the system will not recognize it. If you already have done all that, make sure the cable is connected properly and is not loose at the connector. Give these a shot and let me know if that works out. I did not have that issue though.

As far as my understanding goes, yes. I tried to run it without updating the screen firmware, my screen started acting all weird, and was stuck on the initial art and with some random words here and there on it. So I will say, update the screen as well, just to play it safe.
My screen turns on but it doesn't load up so I can't use my printer have checked my motherboard and it is a F1 does that matter

Easy fix. Forward the video to 7:40, and I covered that error. Are you trying to install the 3.2.0 firmware? I got the same error when I tried to install the screen update that is bundled with the 3.2.0 firmware. Go with the screen update that is bundled with 3.1.9 firmware and you will be good to go. Took me a while to sort out that error myself. Hope this helps.

Awesome! I am running the 3.2.0 on the main board for a few weeks now, no issues at all. Just printed something over the weekend without any issues.

I bricked my machine yesterday, managed to rollback, then today found your video... I had NO IDEA there was a micro-sd slot in the screen, i wasn't bricked at all, Creality really dropping the ball in terms of support. Awesome explanation, will buy smaller size sd cards and give this method a try but I see no reason why it wouldn't work now that you've explained it well. Thank you! Awesome channel, and it's weird there's almost nobody showing this stuff properly. Immediately subbed.
Glad the video helped. I did not know about the micro-SD card either, and there wasn't any video I could find. Thanks to some one posting it on Reddit that pointed me into the right direction.
2024 and just used this video to swap my battery. Thank you so much my guy. Make sure your windows are down in case you lock the car during the work. And instead of hitting the brake and power button after, keep your foot off the brake and double press the start button with a bit of a pause between to restart the computer before turning on. Also your batter securing bar may not fit if your new battery is too tall so make sure you have a method to secure such as zip ties with the original bar or an aftermarket kit.

Just a few tidbits... The first with Cat video was made in May 2023, and the one with Motone was made in April 2024, took me a year to finally get it done. I warmed the bike for about 5 minutes before each video to make sure its idling at the recommended rpm. Revved up to 3500 rpm in both scenarios. The temps in the first video were in the 70s, but in the second video it was in the 60s. In the second part of the video, the sound gets muffled around 1:52 time marker, but picks it back up after about 10 seconds. I think that happened because my GoPro picked up the wind noise, so it made some adjustments. To my ears, there certainly is a difference in sound. It sounds a bit more "Raspy". For now, I am holding on to the OEM mufflers, and the OEM air filter. I looked in to the DNA air filter, but I cannot justify the 100+ USD cost. Enjoy the video! 😊
If you could make a tutorial about what to do when my z offset won't go low enough I would really appreciate it. Because that is my newest problem

Did u follow the setup guide b4 u use it? Otherwise if you dont do the.set.up it will not properly work.
So, the problem went away after I factory reset the TV. Initially, I would have the HDMI issue once every few weeks, then it started happening every few days, and when I made the video, the issue became a daily occurrence. I factory reset the TV after making this video and, knock on the wood, the issue did not return yet. Lets hope I wont have to deal with the issue again, ever.

I have four of these jacks. So far, I'm happy with them but have only had them a couple of years. Time will tell the story. Previously I had Craftsman jacks. They were nothing but junk! Craftsman is no longer even in the market place, as far as I'm concerned. When China started building their tools, that was the beginning of the end for them.
I used to have a 1.5 tons Craftsman floor jack that I bought from Sears about 15 or so years ago. Worked alright, but it never let an opportunity go when it came to leaks. I ended up buying an Arcan 3.0 tons for myself from Costco and so far I am quite happy with it. Just had one issue in the beginning, but that was sorted out, thanks to Costco's amazing exchange policy.
Thanks guys the video. I do was r to Point out the build quality. The thickness of the side rails, the the shaft, the, pad etc. Seems the Pittsburg is much beefier. And I just purchased this model, and recieved a 1.5 year full warranty, as a member. Thanks, I do appreciate your time, in making the video.
I personally thought that the HF one was pretty well built as well. But, that is not to say that the Big Red was badly put together. For most, the 90 days warranty of the HF could be a deal breaker.
Probably because you're lifting it in the wrong spot. Pretty sure that's a unibody design and not body on frame. I can't tell exactly what part of the car you're lifting on, but you should probably be lifting at the pinch weld.
I would keep the Torin. Harbor Freight is only a 90 day warranty. Where do you return the Torin to for a warranty clai.? Do you have to ship it back to Torin? Husky Home Depot floor jack warranty is 1 year and some of them are made by brand name companies like Torin. Thanks for the video.
Yeah, the warranty could be a major deciding factor for many. The Torin/Big Red will have to be shipped to the manufacturer for warranty replacement, if I am not mistaking. I ended up buying an Arcan 3.0 Hybrid Floor Jack from Costco. Its quite a bit heavier than these two though.

Thanks for the comment. Actually thats just grease that was (over) applied on the outside of the pistons. I thought the same when i first saw it, but I soon realized it was just over greasing.
@@imrakhan are you able to give me an update on this jack? Plan on buying this jack instead of the 3 Ton Daytona jack at harbor freight because of the weight difference.
@@Dro-Ordanzo it turned out that the issue was the floor slope, and not the jack. I used the jack on my Forester, lifting it from the center and the jack was perfectly leveled. I have been using this same jack for a while now with numerous uses, all safely without any issue.

@@imrakhan That's right, you can;t get away for Chinese-made stuff. So you buy what you need -- even if it's made in POS/Communist China -- and hope for the best. I have an Arcan 20-ton bottle jack on its way (for store-pickup @ Home Depot). It seems MOST (if not all) brands of bottle jacks have mixed reviews and MOST made in China -- so you can't win. -- BR

Sweet that's just what I want to be able to drive 3hr if needed and not have to listen to loud exhaust but I like a little tone when u get on it. thanks for making video looks like easy to install. was there gaskets where u unbolt it? if there was did u replace them also?
Hey Shane, No there was no gasket, just simple two bolts on each pipe. Its super easy to install. I had a friend of mine helping me out, so it became even easier and took me a total of 30 minutes from the time I got it up on the ramp to the time I drove it off it. I think if you are by yourself, it will take you may be 45 minutes?! I got stuck with one bolt which did not want to cooperate at first. I think it was due to the angle i was working with. Otherwise, super simple and clean install. Just make sure you use WD40 on the rubber hangers, that will make the install a breeze.

Absolutely. It only gets loud when you step on it hard, otherwise, the exhaust sound very tamed.
Awesome. That sounds great. I went with an invidia axleback, but the sound change is minimal. Or maybe I already forgot what stock sounds like!
@@jcmno5080 Haha.. yeah... very similar with the Borla. You dont hear it until you rev the motor over 2000 rpm. Below that, the exhaust sounds very much like the OEM. I was kind of disappointed at first when I installed the Borla because I noticed no difference in sound on the low rpm. But once I stepped on the gas, the Borla woke up.

Its normal. It is at the same tilt as the vehicle. Jack up the vehicle in the center or from the front or rear and I bet all the wheels of the jack stay on the ground.
Interesting... I just used this jack to do rear brake service on my friend's Forester. I jacked up the car from the center, and this jack was absolutely flat footed. I guess physics in action?! Thanks for the suggestion.

Definitely not normal. As crazy as it sounds I had this happen with a torin and when jacking it up what was happening was the center of the jack was turning to an angle causing it to become unlevel in the rear if you go to the other side you will be able to tell it. The problem is the springs causing the entire issue if yours has them
Funny you mentioned Torin. I bought a 2.5 ton Torin from local Pepboys a few months ago with the same issue. May be its this dual pump design that is causing this issue. Thr design of this one, the Torin and the Harbor Freight 2.5 ton Aluminum is very similar.

Hello Michael, there is absolutely no drone at highway speed with this exhaust. I love the way this exhaust sound. Rumbles when you drive aggressively, but as quiet as the stock when you drive normally. I have zero buyer's remorse with this exhaust.

Thank you for sharing. What performance enhancement have you noticed since installing the Borla Exhaust system?
Honestly, I did not notice any performance enhancement. The only thing I noticed is the sound being throatier and thats pretty much about it. If I would have gone with a Cat back system, removing the resonator and the cat converter, there was a possibility of some performance improvement, may be about 1 - 2 HP, but with axle back, its pretty much all about the sound.
Awesome voice! How much did parts + labor cost you?
My cost was 620 USD, shipped, from Meraki Autoworks. Labor was free since me and my buddy installed it. Took us about an hour to remove the OEM one and install this one. It's a pretty straight forward install.

@@KingMatt1 Hey Man, I reached out to Meraki Autoworks through Lexus Forum (ClubLexus.com). I dont think they advertised it for that price on their website. I was in contact with Josh who is a regular contributor, and a vendor, on Club Lexus.
Price went up in a year, I got it for $720
