I started The Gina Livy program and stopped the alcohol as I do the weight loss journey. Never been a heavy drinker. I feel the odd drink maybe is ok but for now staying dry. I also know for health reasons, it’s not a female’s friend for menopause, and aging skin so I see the benefits from not drinking.

Im sober for almost a year in March, I feel better for it.

I agree Claire. I quit drinking 6 months ago. I’m 55. I drunk Fri sat Sunday evenings then I realised it wasn’t agreeing with me plus it was affecting my sleep. I also found some Thursday evenings I wanted a drink. It was beginning to be a crutch and because alcoholism runs in the family I was afraid of reaching the point of no return. I felt I couldn’t do without it and on a Monday I couldn’t wait until it was Friday so I could get a drink. I’ve never felt better I have no regrets.

I quit drinking almost 10 years ago. I couldn't imagine my life if I still drank. Unfortunately I am the kind of person that just can't have one drink... It ends up being an entire bottle... It's a bad look for me. Being sober has really made my life wonderful❤

I've been teetotal for a long time now. Nothing against alcohol at all but just not for me.

I decided to do 100days no alcohol at the start of 2019 and it changed my habits completely. I very rarely drink now and feel great. Helps keep hormones balanced too and at 53 now I’ve not had much issues where that’s concerned.Around the same time body seemed to reject coffee and black tea.

The in between days of working out you can still do some stretches to keep your muscles from tensing up. That helps with recovery and makes your next workout more efficient. Prevents injury too. I’ve fallen off my workouts this month but have still been walking with the dog, so still getting some movement.
