Quilting Design Wall
Просмотров 4,4 тыс.7 лет назад
This project was a request from my wife to make her a "pin up" board on the wall in her sewing room. The purpose of this is to allow a quilter to put together quilt square ( parts ) to be able to see what they look like on the Design Wall. As I learned at the very end of the project this is just like the felt stick on boards we had 55 years ago. Please look at this blog for many links and infor...

Check out the first 30 seconds to see if this will interest you. In this shop session, I assembled the two shelf units and the drawer unit with clamps. From this I was able to get the dimensions of the base that would sit under these three units. I have created a project page for the Cutting Sewing Table. goo.gl/7qBWcv
Utility Taper Jig - Shop Talk

SHOP TALK is the short version of the project build video I am working on a new project to build some video lights for the shop. The end parts of the light needed to have a taper cut. I needed a taper jig for large parts. My standard taper jig would not work due to the size. I remembered the jig I built for the Workbench TWO Dogs. I’m curious, as an engineer, not a wood working guy, wouldn’t the joints be stronger if the pocket holes were inside the cabinet rather than outside. I know this would create more work to conceal the drilled pockets, but purely from a strength standpoint, would that make a difference……………?

There is no need to do the "ruler trick" unless the back of the blade already has a bevel. Just lap the back of the blade flat
