Barry Williams "You Made me So Very Happy"
Wild Cherry "Play That Funky Music;"was heavily influenced by this song(almost identical in singing style and beat. Both songs are great and much 2 funky 2 b on this planet lol!😂😂Was there ever a copyright infringement 4 plagiarizing the tune from The Commodores? Love them both tho❤
Wow, he is doing James Brown dance moves. He sounds like Elvis.
I wondered what he was like. Is this Jimmy from Memphis?
I used to always watch Dinah Shore, she had the best guests and musical guests. I remember watching this when it aired... I was 12. Around this time, she also had Graham Central Station on singing Your Love. I have no idea why I remember that, maybe because it was a memorable experience perhaps? Lol..
Out and out love this video; I just wish it was in color, and you do, too!
Wonderful ❤
Wow! Just wow! Epic! 🎶✌️🎶❣️🎶😎🎶
Best live show.
No guitar
This is the greatest song ever made,FACTS! THIS IS SOOOO FONKEEE!!!!
For 2-1/2 minutes anyone could be a ramblin' gamblin' man. Even if one's a chick.
Bag..mellow dettic to chickenhen. Rolle pay l
8/10/24 Great clip! I wish someone wouldve thought to film at least 1 full production of the original East Coast cast of Hair in 1968. For those of us who "lived" Hair, all we have are memories, stills, an LP & now, thankfully, a few live TV clips. .... Im glad I lived when i did & was young when i was young! Our generation rocked! I dont care what Millenials & Gen Z think or say about us! For all of us born 1940 to 1957 ❤. ✌🏼☮️ ☯️🌼🌻
He's a little too tall...he could use a few pounds.;).
Cringe...
Groovy haircuts
Isso que é cantor talentoso toca teclado com uma mão segura o microfone e canta ❤👏👏
Groovy! Detroit White Boy Funky Blues at its Finest! Rock-steady back-beat with awesome bass playing backing up Seger's Bad Boy Road Man Macho Bravado. Tough guy act complimented by pretty rhythmic keyboard chords and soaring background vocals. Bravissimo!!!
Definitely show his Motown roots. Bob sounds awesome!
Such a talent ❤️Love Bob ❣️
Bob segar is the best period!
Mike Douglas and Dinah Shore didn’t care what color you were, they gave everyone an equal chance. RIP😢
My Aunt and her girlfriends would go see him back in 69 when he played at the old Valley Dale here in Columbus, Ohio. My Aunt was 18 or 19 at the time and borrowed my mom's 1967 Rambler Rebel to go and see the concert one Saturday night. I was only 12 at the time and noticed the rear passenger window broke out when I went outside Sunday morning. Man, you never heard two sisters get into it as much as I did after snitching on her. I guess my aunt and her friends pissed off some guys because mixed with the side window pieces there was also brown glass like from a beer bottle laying all over the back seat area....lol
🥴😖
It's still a Groovy song in 2024
Totally!
This song right here I haven't heard in a very long time. I love this song so much, but I didn't know that Bob segar sang this song. The rambling gambling man wow.
I am currently care giving to the woman sitting on his lap.
Yeahhh! Awright! Here we go now.
Jeez ! I Haven't Seen this Black & White Footage and of the System Too !! The 1970 Color version came next after this one and there is a keyboardist and Bob Segar is playing guitar .
Used to call her: "Sharin' BONE."
Anyone know the year for sure? Has to be mid/late 60s
"LIBERTY: 'YOU CAN HAVE YOUR 'FUNKY' WORLD"!

A young pre -Eagles Glenn Frey singing backup.
I am a musician, and listened to this hit about 1,000 times. Studied the double organ arrangement, the amazingly repetitive drums and wrote, performed and produced this. Have over 1 million views on RUclips. ruclips.net/video/oPonlrbOlUY/видео.html
Did you notice how he jumped a section accidentally lol awww live theatre :)
First song I ever heard by Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band. I was in love at note. Then I saw him do this on TV! He was just the perfect image of rock n roll! I’m 72 now and still love him and listen to him. ♥️ And yes I still dance to his songs! ❤
Turn the page!!!
Happy Birthday Bob Seger born on May 6, 1945. He is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. As a locally successful Detroit-area artist, he performed and recorded as Bob Seger and the Last Heard and Bob Seger System throughout the 1960s. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Seger
Only a rambling gambling man can truly appreciate this jam. 😮
I am not a rambling gambling man. I’m Gen Z and I love this song
he will be missed.
Bob was an icon.
No, IS!! He's alive and well. I saw him on his last tour.
Boy he’s so Young! Wow! ❤🙏🏻❤️
Love the song!
Born in '45. So 20 or so
Year?
What show is this from?
The host had no idea who he was talking to at the time lol
How did the guy in this video singing this song turn in to a freaking Communist 50+ yrs later? It makes no sense.
James Rado was actually older than Dick Cavett by 4 years, but seems like he’s 21.
Filmed in 1969…. Looks like it was filmed in 1939
Way it was then
Great song, love it! BTW did he borrow that vest from Sonny Bono?
I always knew this song, but never knew it was Bobs, listened to him since the 70s
