For the colored page edges, you could also use watercolor or ink with a brush. Tap the brush on a rag or paper towel to remove some of the excess liquid. No paint on the clamps!

I love this! I ordered the gaffer's tape, but in the meantime, I deconstructed a composition notebook to cut down and use for the cover base.

Just found your chanel and i'm so glad i did. I loved this tutorial so much! I have subscribded and look forward to watching more from you. I have trouble with my hands as i have Neuropathy. Although i find tasks difficult and get annoyed with myself i get things done in the end. My crafting is what keeps me sane in this crazy world we live in. <3

I have the same sewing machine that you mentioned. I didn't know it could sew this many pages. If the seam gets wonky, put the signature under the foot, then lay down some washi tape as an edge guide - on the right-hand side - on your machine. Then, use that as a guide.

I agree about not using a metal ruler with a rotary cutter. Invest in an acrylic ruler like quilters use. They come in many sizes, and make cutting perpendicular to the surface much easier. Also, try not to “saw” with the blade. Just start at the bottom and make one long cut pushing away from yourself. An acrylic ruler will make this so much easier. Love your instructions!
