Lankathilaka Raja Maha Viharaya Nuwara| With English Subtitles
1. Lankatilaka Vihara is an ancient Buddhist shrine located in Udunuwara village in Kandy district
2. Lankatilaka Vihara can be reached after going about 4 km on the Daulagala road from Pilimathalawa junction in Kandy.
3. The history of this temple dates back to the Gampola period
According to ancient sources, this temple was built by King Bhuvanekabahu IV with the help of Sthapanirayar, a South Indian architect.
4. Mr. Senarath Paranavitarana says that Sinhala, Tamil and Indo-Chinese architecture patterns were used in the construction of this temple during the Polonnaru period.
