Used to take my sons fishing at that very spot.

I live near here we are never t legally allowed to fly drones or walk around it. They have put up things they shouldn't have. Cathedral cave below the dam. Close to china lake and area 51.

They have been working on the dam since 2017. They were suppose to be done In 22. They have been building concrete walls around the dam and the camp. Instead of working on on the leak.

Kern county water district getting rich over the last 10plus years acting like Lake Isabella is a threat and draining it year after year and dumping that water into the LA aqueduct and making a wealthy penny on it, while all the time crippling farmers and those within the county that needs this water. Hopefully this is now in the past for a while.

Lousy video... not one word of commentary, just rather annoying music...

I live here but was in Irvine a few weeks ago and the river came up. There were also people from LA in our group. I mentioned how dangerous it is and that it’s called “Killer Kern” for a reason. They looked at me like I was full of shit. Not one of them had ever heard that nickname before or had any idea it was dangerous. No wonder SO many of the people who drown are from those areas. The huge sign with the number of dead only works if people see it and absorb it, but people driving up for the first time can miss it. I wish we had a really obnoxious musical safety commercial about it. Think early 90s haha Just spam the entirety of Ca around springtime every year.
