Years ago before the modern strike indicator…. Tim down at Abe’s fly shop had n the San Juan introduced me to ploy yarn indicators…. Same principle but a lot less expensive …. Now a days I simply use a hopper as an indicator….. even in winter I get hits on both hopper and what ever dropper’s use .

No problems pulling the Strike Indicator through the eyes of the rod when fishing shallow???

Went their and used a fly rod and a home made fly and it was super fun!! Had a 24 inch rainbow on but it got off.😢

That is a tough creek to fish. Wise fish. That combined with the fact that I suck makes it very hard for me. I’m local so I will have to figure it out eventually.

I Have a Sage 7ft 4" 2 weight or small streams. Love the rod but prefer a 10 ft 3 weight on larger waters! Nice video!

I’m from Lancaster. Just went here yesterday with my kids. We had a blast and walked away with a bunch of fresh fish. I’m glad I came across your video before we went.

I’ve yet to catch a brown with the fly rod there yet. My buddy kills it with spin gear gear. I might try streamers next.

Could you maybe try over at Kaercher Creek? It's very close to Hamburg! It's a nice lake/park and theres lots of bass! Or maybe try over at Blue Marsh Stilling Basin?

Nicely done man. Loads of good fish, and a very nice wild brown. You picked them apart really well. Penns is tough to wade, especially when up. However, I think the Savage and North Branch of Potomac are the hardest in my experience. Give those a shot when you get a chance. Tight lines!

Nice outing Brandon, especially trying your hand at Euro Nymphing, good results. You did better than me at that spot, I usually only catch around two trout there but I always seem to catch a sucker or two there also. Nice clear footage. Thanks for sharing.

I’ve recently caught some wild looking fish in a local stream in Lebanon county and than came to find out that there are actually some non-profit organizations that stock wild fish. Blew my mind haha.
