Some of the ideas were very cute. Many of the items are things everybody already owns. Such as nail clippers, nail files, bath puffs etc.

Sand before you stain or paint any natural wood pieces sanding also metal works also to get a texture for the paints to gripe into the item

I don't understand why burning a beautiful 3D themed shaped candle Lossing the shape and images and details really burning money the melted wax has never made sense to me

Beware some thrift stores have bed bugs. Don't want to bring those home. Just inspect ur purchased item very well.

I don't like the rub and buff either. I tried it on my two tin men first then just spray painted them gold instead.

Did you wash or wipe down the gold candle holder before using the rub n buff? Also, there may have been some sort of protective film, maybe an anti tarnish film, that prevented the rub n buff from sticking. Either way, I think it came out great.

The candlestick probably had a clear coat on it. I would have used some fine steel wool to remove that and give the Rub n Buff something to cling to, then applied the Rub n Buff, with my finger...no glove...waited 20 min. to give that a chance to cure, then buffed. I get a kick out of this " new product ", I've been using it for over 40 years!

Before using the rub and buff if you had painted it a mat black then used the rub and buff it would have given you a more antique look at least that's what's worked best for me

Beautiful recycles My favorite was the sled On the rub & bluff maybe put was antique wax to tone it down I like it

I love the sleigh, it looks so much prettier in the cream! Have you tried Fusion paint it great not sure if they have a cream. You could create your own by mixing white & a little brown maybe

The planter at the end was my favorite because you styled it beautifully, you will repot the tree after Christmas and then put it outside in the spring. Then you still have your pretty pot to restyle. Love it.

I absolutely love that sleigh!! That is something I could totally see using in my decor! The ornaments you made over turned out so pretty! I think the process you used for the ornaments would’ve given you more of the finish you may have been going for on the little brass candlestick. Thanks for doing this collab with me!!

you did a great job on duping pottery barn. they came out really good. I think the leaves are magnolia but not 100% sure.

I love all these Pottery Barn dupes, but what you are leaving out in your tutorial is the cost of all the different supplies you have to buy to create the look. Calculating the cost of the five different kinds of paints and the brushes and the wax and the wick, you've put the actual cost of the candle probably higher than if you just bought it at Pottery Barn. Plus you have to consider the price of your time to for to the three different thrift stores and the painting the different coats letting them dry in between.

I really liked every basket idea. Where were you when I was putting my baskets together? I will have to save these ideas for next year, so already head of the game.Thanks🤗
