Going strong , still doing amazing , it’s been wet a good few times , used in snow , and bashed hard at skateparks. I can highly recommend this servo

I had a revo , a nitro 3.3 one , and a summit id brushless converted , great platform I really liked it. Not as durable as the maxx platform but handled a lot better and would still take a good bashing.

The hobao stuff is great , I would say it’s bang for buck the best thing I’ve got , it’s fast , it’s durable , parts and upgrades are available, there’s no bad points to it. 4s is fun and about 40mph , mines done 65mph on 6s then blew a tyre haha. @ mine started its life as the cage truggy , but I’ve converted it now to the sste. I think it’s better as the sste as it’s easier to work on and get the battery in and out , but looked cooler with the cage haha although it did fill with dirt. You can’t go wrong with any of the buggy’s / truggys I recon. All great

Pretty much , I bought it as a roller cage truggy , converted it to the sste , it’s got the max8 g2 sensored combo in it but the truck it’s self is all stock components

It’s now set with pins using the stock mount and motor , and since doing it using hardened spur and pinion I’m having no issues at all. Thanks for watching

Nice one a need wait to next month to get a slipper for rock but gone do the center diff mod after Xmas a want to keep rock 4s bud need find some nice shocks need do the barring on rock

@craigs-crash-n-bash No worries. The shorty is the 5690 motor. It is less torquey, but it still has insane torque. More than enough for the XMaxx. And it's 1250kv Actually, you could get away with using the new Max 6 ESC. That thing is good for a continuous 200a !

@@Diaszurana awesome I’ll look into that , so far I’m having good luck with the max 5 and back to stock motor , just running the high speed gearing ( in hardened steel ) but it does get warm, so when this motor lets go I will look into that one you’ve mentioned. Thanks man. Hope you enjoy!
