Sorry for slow replies, we're just back off a 2 week cruise, and didn't bother with the internet package. Yes, saw the cabana prices, are quite high. Just a lounger in there though is pretty reasonable cost.

Medallion was nice, and good to hear, we're in a mini suite when we go this year!

Glad you enjoyed your cruise, we enjoyed ours as well I think our cruise was relatively full, I'm judt careful to film quieter times and places. And yes the theatre box would be nicer without the screen, their public liability insurance probably insist on them.

We really enjoyed it. The ship felt smaller than we were expecting, which wasn't a bad thing. You were on the Spain and Portugal itinerary then? We saw it was heading there after and didn't want to get off!

@ hi, yes I thought it felt smaller also. We were on the mini cruise to Belgium and Cherbourg (so maybe a gap then between us).

@@suemoore8351 I could also be wrong, it was early, but I'm pretty sure when we disembarked there was a sign saying next stop Lisbon. Either way, yes, lovely ship and nice cabin!

100% agree, we're booked back on Sky next year and really looking forward to it (with Plus package of course). Only worry is how the Premier package unlimited speciality dining will affect booking dining onboard, we decided to book all of ours early, which does mean you can't use onboard credit for it. And the app is by far the best we've seen.

@@richandsuzcruise We have no onboard credit so does not come into play. Will however try the 2 casual dining and desert as have not done before. Thanks to you informative video.

Hi there, thanks for the kind comment, and yes, there were a few folk in wheelchairs getting assistance from the port staff with boarding. Also a reasonable amount of mobility scooters and wheelchairs around the ship. <edit> But I believe contacting the cruise company prior to the cruise is recommended so they can arrange assistance.

Ours was actually the 8 night version at the beginning of the season. Our first sea day was formal night 1, and the day we left Norway (day 7) was our second. Can't guarantee yours will work out the same but it would make sense, yes, as no one wants formal night when they've packed. And we hope you enjoy your cruise!

Sorry for the slow reply, we've been away, and my phone broke, so no youtube! First of all, we hope you have a wonderful time on your anniversary, we're booked there again for next March, can't keep away! Tips; kentia bar has really nice cocktails, we really enjoyed the main dining restaurant onsite, and the pool bar does really awesome white cava sangria. We're pretty simple taste on holiday really, just enjoy food, drink, and lying by the pool mostly.

Theres actually 2 restaurants. Kentia, which is the more experimental one. We booked it the first time we went and whilst the food was cooked really well etc, it was a rather unusual dining concept, and we wouldn't do it again. That one does need to be booked in advance, although we booked it when we arrived. The main Isla y el mar restaurant, we've never booked in the past and never had trouble getting in. We actually asked the receptionist if we could make a booking and he said just turn up.

We had a great time, hope you enjoy it as much as we did! The Amsterdam Christmas markets weren't up when we went though, just the Christmas lights. And it was definitely cold.

Yes theres a big area of loungers just above the pool bar, with a decent sea view. Also every suite has a sun terrace with loungers on.

@@richandsuzcruise thanks Rich ! As we have a Suite with balcony i suppose there are only chairs and no loungers, right ?

Sorry, I just noticed this, youtube doesn't seem to flag comments added to comments for me. I'm honestly not sure about the balcony suites, I would assume they have loungers as well, but we've only stayed in ground floor suites and they all do, and our friends stayed in a pool suite which also does. If in doubt just give the reception team an email, and I'm sure they could tell you, they've always been really helpful when we've contacted them. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

We really liked the monument, and felt it fits in well with a lot of the quirky and unusual styles in Rotterdam.

Sorry to hear that. We weren't sure what to expect as our last MSC cruise was pretty much a mixed bag, but we had a good time. There were a few issues but generally our butler and the YC staff were really good. But yeah, things can definitely be different from one cruise to the next.

Sorry you were disappointed with our information. There really weren't a lot of bus stops, and other than the viewpoint, where we got out, and the sea life centre, where we didn't, but posted a pic, and the town centre, which the bus finishes back close to anyway, and we walked back to, there really wasn't much to note.

I appreciate how straight-to-the-point and thorough the video is, and how it covers effectively ALL the little details that some other cruise RUclipsrs miss with their more grandiose style (which is nice and I also have time for them) sometimes miss. The one thing to ask regarding the room tour is which plug sockets are used - as I've read that there's a mix of European and American ports, but not sure which adaptors I (as a Brit) should be bringing with me. Again, thanks a lot for your review!

We did do a full room tour separately, so only glossed over the main details in the review video to try and keep the time down. There are USB sockets in the bedside lights, 2 euro and 2 US sockets over the desk (in our balcony cabin at least). We had heard on a cabin tour video that a UK adapter is supplied in the cabin, but there wasn't one in ours. Hope this is helpful, and we hope you have a wonderful cruise in October, we really loved our time on the Sky Princess!

April into May. We try to film when its not busy so not too many people in shot, the ship was pretty full I believe.

Thank you. Mostly waiters will still come round and take orders, which was probably the most common way. If we were in a hurry for a drink we'd order at the bar. If we were ordering a refill or a drink to the cabin we'd use the app, as it could be a bit slow. We hope you enjoy your cruise, Sky is a beautiful ship.
