Funny, I think of him as being 12 or 13 and just a mate of mine. What a meteoric career for a smalltown lad. He definitely had it in him, even back in those days. Bullocks, we're getting old.

Robert and Jimmy as old men blast the concept of my own mortality wide open. "We ain't never gettin old!" Well, time waits for no man! Robert is a treasure. His manner is humble, but I can't imagine any conversation with him could possibly be boring ever?! This new age we seem to have entered, there is a "death of celebrity." The "stars" have been rendered MORTAL. But there are still some icons left, like Robert and Jimmy, and John Paul Jones. I hope we have them for decades yet.

Despite being a long-time Zep fan, I never really got into Robert's solo work. That has changed recently. I'm really starting to appreciate him. This interview shows he is also a thoughtful, decent man.

Robert Plant is one of if not the most phenomenal singers of all time. The way he pulls emotion. Screeches like a devil. Smooths like an angel. Hes just, well, complete. Names come to mind when I think of a complete vocalist. Roy Orbison, Freddie Mercury, Steven Tyler, ect.. Ya gotta put plant up there. Hes that damn solid man. Most of all his taste in music is wide ranging.. I mean Alison Krause? Whodathunk?

Robert is such a humble man …… giving his bands mates their share of the beautiful creations of Led Zeppelin’s work for all of those amazing years!! LZ is and will always be my most favorite band in existence!! Everything they’ve written and created are meaningful and exquisite!! I particularly love the blues influence!!
