New test level, new enemies | Retro FPS in Unity3d
Hi all,
I am adding new content - new enemies in new test level.
1. Big rocket drone - it have lot of HP
2. Small mech - it have two cannons
3. Big rocket mech - very dangerous, with two rocket launchers.
Every mech explode after destruction.
All weapons has been rebalanced.
I am starting to develop my retro FPS game. I will add more videos in future from progress in this game. These videos are not as tutorial. In case of your interest, you can follow progres in my game or leave your opinion. Thank you! #unity3d #gamedev #indiegame #retrogames

Hi all, I am working on enemies and weapons now. Soldier have AI for moving and combat. They can hide and change places for attacks. They can use different weapons - one is with shotgun and one with SMG. Enemies have hit zones - different damage when you hit the head, vest or legs etc. It takes long time, but I hope the game will be better and better. I am starting to develop my retro FPS game....

Bested on input or player velocity?
It's cool, but I really thing a retro FPS should be made in a custom game engine because that's how they did it back in my day, and it really can't be called a retro FPS if you don't make it in either an outdated game engine or one you made yourself that still uses old techniques.

quick suggestion: add screen shake and recoil when shooting, it will make the player feel more immersed and craving to shoot, also make the muzzle flash feel more realistic, since right now it looks like a 2D image (I know it is, or like a particle system, but make it so the 2D image looks the same to the player depending on the players rotation or pos, i forgot the term like "billboard" plane style in the particle system. Besides that the game looks great and cool, it gives me valve game vibes in general

tbh the gameplay feels solid and raw and boring, the weight and power of the weapon in your hands is not felt. try adding weapon recoil to the top and a little bigger muzzle flash, maybe it will help

Hello, I use State Machines. Ai is relativne simple but soldiers can react on situation, after shoot he run to hide to safe position etd.
I don't know why but it rimndsmy of half life 1 Maby is the UI and the old style off graphics I don't know.
It's inspired by old classics. I love HL1, Duke Nukem3D and Quake.
@@LHGameStudio to be honest the game I'm working it's inpaerd for old fps game's as well but my game is multiplayer game not single player fps Thing all those games that have deathmach and collect items for the map however my game is not clone it's original game. Wail the game I'm working it's fps multiplayer that you collect items for the map the have slot system and the have many unique mekanic the have items like granates as well that use with the own button simuler with call of duty.

bro i really love your work but please change models. They are not fitting to the style of the game. Try quake like models maybe but not like this (talking for the enemies and viewmodels)
