In Module 9 we look at mutual aid as a different way of thinking about 'community' in our inter-agency model - not as a peripheral stakeholder but at the core of social action.
Public Sector Agents - CRIM13006 module 7
Просмотров 25Год назад
This module introduces the importance of robust and responsible public sector agents in the safeguarding of democratic institutions from political interference and populist demands. Introduction to Law Module 4: Using Legal Sources - Rules and Principles
Not sure I would want to work for an organisation that does not value a female that has a family or provide flexible work conditions.
It's a real dilemma for many new graduates where these sort of prejudices are ingrained. My female students are still being asked "what happens if we employ you and you then go off an have a baby" even though this is prohibited by anti-discrimination law.
Promo-SM 😍
Thank you!
Excellent Analysis
Sir. Sword, or sheath? Also does this next statement make sense? That your peer group at work actively are deregulating your humanity? For the field trip down memory back in your head lane. You know what they say about you behind your back. It is always said in all ages of history. Always relevant. Men who have a friend name Silo. If there was a nightmare night-shade rainbow would you join in with us?
Excellent analysis
Excellent analysis
Yes. I wrote a paper on it: "Murder by usury and organised denial." now in peer-review. Our global financial system is THE single biggest source of systemic violence.
Yes, there is that whole argument of where you draw the line between 'violence' and 'normality' that is interesting and I think has been moving positively (but slowly) at the UN
Okayy love it But was someone snoring in the beginning
Thank you so much Dr Beattie, even for a third year student still need a reminder of this concept.
This is a great video. I wish you had more like it. But I appreciate this video!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Ouch.
Cheers for this. I was aware TTRPG design had come a long way in the past 20 years (And I think had already done so in the 20 years before that), but having been mainly on the periphery of them rather than really having much of an opportunity to explore them in any depth the specifics of how they've evolved have remained elusive to me, so this sort of video on RPG design is hugely helpful.
It is worth having a look again. Another great thing about the latest games is that they are designed for short term play, so you don't have to worry about committing to a campaign and having everyone drop out after a few sessions.
Thank you Scott. As someone who just began University at CQU straight out of high school I was a little lost on where to begin. You have made me realise how supported I will be throughout my course and how to approach my learning 😊.
Thanks for commenting! Keep us in the loop as you progress through you studies so we can help you excel.
"Legion of Law" your explanation is very clear, enough for even the lesser experienced can understand. Great video to get their creative juices flowing.
This is a fantastic breakdown!! Thanks for making this
My pleasure!
Really interesting breakdown! Got the pdf a week ago and very excited about the game! I love it that it is robust as you say in substance, both in character creation and story telling tools.
thanks Scott this really helps me so much
Wow you changed my whole perspective here. Thank you.
That was extremely well put. I hope you do it again.
Do you think you'll do more RPG mechanics breakdown content?
I could do - what sort of things would you be interested in?
@@scottbeattie8103 I'm new to ttrpgs. I came in through belonging outside belonging through a workshop by Avery Alder called Games that Matter. I've been hooked ever since. I love videos like this on where game mechanics come from and how they operate & looking at games as art and mechanics as expressive choices. If you like doing stuff like that I bet there's an audience.
@@lucky-howard Hi Lucky. You've come into ttrpgs through a really interesting pathway. Most of us come in through the trad, violence focused games and then branch off as we find options more suited to our interests. Thanks for the kind comments, I'd like to do more of these, work permitting. Are there particular games you'd like me to dig into?
@@scottbeattie8103 So many! haha. Monsterhearts, The Quiet Year, Microscope, Kingdom, Sign, Dialect, Coyote and Crow, Monster Care Squad, Companions Tale, Our Last Best Hope and a few Jason Morningstar games like Skeleton and Winterhorn are some of the things I'm learning (or trying to learn) now. I'm really interested in the idea of "GM-ful" games. But probably you should talk about whatever you feel drawn to. I just love these conversations
Sorry sir not intersting
Very clear
Thanks for sharing knowledge. I hope this helps.
Thank you so much, being dyslexic, critical analysis does not flow naturally. I glad I understood everything. I have listened 3 times and learnt that I have to read understand, think and write everyday.
Happy to have been a help

Goob job! :) Keep it up! Would you like to be RUclips friends? :)
Thank you for this video! But quick question please, is theoretical orientation the same as theoretical framework?
Great question! Your theoretical orientation is how you relate to other theories (and theorists) in the field - are you more of a deterrence theorist or a rehabilitation theorist? This informs the theoretical framework which is the the scaffolding you create for a particular paper - which could include discussion of theories you are not aligned to, but need to discuss, maybe to negate them.
Love your legal education and insights, much appreciated Scott :-)
As before, much appreciated for your enjoyable and insightful presentation :-) Cherry
Scott, I absolutely love and appreciate your legal studies lectures. You have such a wonderful and insightful way of imparting complex legal principals in such an easy and enjoyable experience. Awesome. Much gratitude :-) Cherry
