Hi Tony. Yet another great vlog the scenery out the looks good the 31 was growling nicely. Just a heads up for you when you go to Ravenglass if you have time check the ratty museum out it's on the car park as you get off the train. It's the story of the railway how it began up to the present day with some small loco's inside. If you're still coming when you said enjoy your time hope the weather holds out it's been good upto now. You'll enjoy it everything in miniature. If you're buying you're ticket on the day it's over the car park by the station buildings and turntable All the best Malcolm and Sheila from Workington.
That sounds really interesting. I’ll try and check that out whilst I’m there. And yeah I’m still going, I booked my tickets online for this Wednesday so whatever the weather I’ll be there! Really looking forward to it!

Hi Tony is Grosmont station always as busy as this plenty of people about. Can't beat the sound of an old class 25 ticking over with that growl when it pulls away. The 37 looked impressive aswell. You've been very lucky with the weather lately. Just watched Tim Geaney he's put another video on his channel about La'al ratty dated 27/5 school half term. Typical Cumbrian weather he had rain at one end 7 miles down track sunny. Malcolm and Sheila from Workington.
@@malcolmcharlton6954 There’s usually a few people knocking about but it’s a bit busier now with the Yellow Timetable currently working between Mon-Thurs. Plenty of traffic in and out of Grosmont during that time so it’s a great place to spend the day for plenty of photos and video footage. Yeah I watched that one. Watched a couple more afterwards. Very much looking forward to my visit soon
@@tonywinward When you get on the train at Carlisle sit on the right hand side for when you travel next to the sea. When you leave Workington station you'll see Aldi Morrisons & b&q you'll pass some waste land a new housing estate some more waste land then the sea. Where the new houses are was the rail making plant railway lines made and shipped all over the world The end piece of waste land was the sleeper mill. Railway sleepers were made (metal one's) The steelworks started from where Aldi's at right up to where you'll see the sea. At the height of steel making in the 50s/60s 5000 people were employed. When they stopped making steel in 1981 3000 people lost well paid Jobs. Railway lines were made from blooms after 1981 rail transported from Red car. Just a small piece of history for you.
