You technically can, but it will change the texture of the sauce. It won't be as gooey. You can add some molasses to if you have any. About 1/4 of molasses would help.

You could use semi-sweet. You can also try milk chocolate or dark chocolate but there will be a slight difference in flavor. It shouldn't affect the texture too much though.

How long do you have to bake it with 9inch pans

RUclips didn't notify me that you had replied. I'm so sorry for the late response. I can't give you an exact time for a 9-inch because a few variables can change the baking time. I can tell you the general time should be about 20-25 minutes. I don't think it would need to bake longer than 25 minutes. I would be surprised if it needed up to 30 minutes. The best thing I can tell you is to do the toothpick or poke test when you think it's done just to be sure it is. A few variables that can change your baking time are: using a glass pan versus a metal pan, gas oven or an electric oven, living in a high elevation or low elevation area. It can be super frustrating sometimes. 😬 It's crazy how baking is often called an "exact science" and then you have these random variables that can change everything.

You mentioned using chocolate ganesh at the end. Did I miss that part during the video? I'm totally trying this recipe 😋

Yes, most of my pie pans are 9 inches. It will be firm enough to hold as long as you chill it in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours before serving.

They hold for about as long as the bananas in those banana pudding parfaits. They're best within the first 24 hours of being used and then start to brown more after that and become softer.

Oh no, I realize that does sound confusing! My apologies. Halfway meaning that it doesn't have to be fully whipped until fully stiffened. Instead, you can whip it halfway until it is light and fluffy but still runny enough to easily pour over the cake. Then chill it and it'll stiffen up more.

Yes, you can use a Jello instant vanilla pudding mix. I've used instant instead of stovetop before by accident and it comes out just about the same. You might have to add about one more tablespoon of milk to it. As far as brand goes, any kind of stove top vanilla pudding mix works fine. But instant vanilla pudding also works in a pinch.

Great question! It is unsalted. Salted won't have a significant taste difference though if it's all you have.

I tried it with extra pudding. It came out mushy. Like the batter struggled to bake all the way through. I think if it was baked in layers instead of a bunt it could possibly work. But it doesn't work well for a Bundt cake pan. You can add an extra egg to give it a little extra height. You may want to add a tablespoon or two more of oil to balance out the egg so the cake doesn't turn out dry.
