When did I move to Norway? In August 2020
When did I start learning Norwegian? In January 2019

SUBTITLES on the whole video ! 🇳🇴 Heii! I dag tar jeg dere med fra Paris til Oslo! Når jeg begynte å lære meg norsk likte jeg å lære vanskelige ord, men jeg syntes det var kjedelig å lære dagligdagse vokabular for å beskrive ting. Another fantastic video! And you have a beautiful singing voice! I'm moving to Oslo in April and I have been wondering about my decision- seeing the nature there again reminds me of a big plus. What you said about hunting reminded me of when I caught a fish near Miami. It was probably 25 years ago and I still remember the moment it came out of the water and how grateful I felt for the fish and for the experience. I can't even count how many times I've eaten fish since then and while I am frequently grateful for the food, it's not close to the same feeling.

I loved this video and it's really helpful, but am I the only one overwhelmed by all this information and methods? I'm not really complaining, I'm just lost on when I should do each of ehat she mentions. Like everday? A few times a week? When do I begin with the next step and next technique?

I'm from Norway. Your norwegian is so good ❤ I would say listening to audiobooks and reading the text at the same time or reading books in the language is a good way to learn it. I wouldn't say I'm fluent in English, but that's how I got better at English.

Thank you for sharing your story and tips that helped you improve your Norwegian . I saw your video, but on another channel with an explanation. Now I’m watching original one, and I feel like: “God, I already understand 90% of what you’re saying” It’s so impressive to me. I’m going to check your channel for another videos about learning foreign languages, By the way, I like using ChatGPT to correct my mistakes, and I think that now it’s better than using Google Translate. I understand, though, that you couldn’t use it earlier. I’m using Google Translate as well, but for me, ChatGPT is like a teacher who you can ask anything whenever you want and get the answer that you need.

Gammelt-ja , sentrum og slakkehaugen står på UNESCO World Heritage List, du bør ha en guidet tour og lese stedets forfatter Johan Falkberget. Det er en rik historie på Røros. Mye spennende hvis man er interessert i historie og gruvedrift.

Damn gurl, your accent is good. Good enough to really set of my uncanny valley detector. I would never have guessed French as your mother tongue, and you have absolutely none of the usual French pronunciation issues. You have clearly put in a massive effort to make it this good. I know people who have lived in Norway and have spoken Norwegian for more than 30 years that are orders of magnitude worse than you. Be proud of this.

I’ve been learning English for 6 years on my own (being a Russian native), and I’ve reached the B2 level. The saddest part is that I spent so much time trying to learn grammar rules, cramming new words, and all that. Despite my greatest efforts, I still can’t speak fluently and without mistakes. At the same time, I chose a different strategy for listening (unintentionally). I immersed myself in the language, listened as much as possible, and now I have C1 in listening and am able to understand almost everything and everyone. So my main advice would be: “Don’t learn a language, use the language.”

Utrolig imponerende på bare 6 år. Du snakker faktisk bedre norsk enn mange som er født og oppvokst i Norge. Det er bare små nyanser ved tonefallet og uttalen som avslører at du ikke har norsk som morsmål.

I've listened to this video almost everyday bc it helps as I'm working on Swedish. One thing I've found that helps me with Google Translate (I'm burning that app out, most used app on my phone currently), is writing a sentence, translating, hearing it a few times then using the speech to text function to see if it can transcribe my version of the sentence. It's helping with my accent and pronunciation but also, I can check whether I am saying what I want to say correctly instead of the crazy Translate versions. Did that make sense?

This is how I learned to speak fluent Danish as a 24-year-old Brit. When I moved to Copenhagen I listened to the radio all day long even though I didn't understand a word; read and listened to (lydbøger) the same children's books over and over; watched the movie _'Babette's Feast'_ (Babettes Gæstebud) over and over again. I used to add to a notebook Danish phrases that I wanted be able to use. I really threw myself at it. Never touched much grammar until later on. Det dejlige er, at jeg af den grund også forstår en del norsk, da sprogene har meget til fælles 😊 Now, I'm learning Spanish for fun 🤗
