Tried to charge me 20$ without the app. Paid 3$ with the app. Do not take tuk tuks without using an app.
Hi, how long did it take to get there from Pnohm Pen? the ride in the bus was about 3 hours and a half? Right? And the boat? How long did the ride take?
Yep, about 3.5 hours. Boat ride was 45 mins.
This info is so helpful, thankyou!
Really helpful. Thanks
Very helpful. Many thanks !
$600 a month is extremely expensive in comparison to Jomtien Thailand
Yes, living in the capital is always more expensive than living in the countryside.
6:00PM 3:00PM😊❤❤❤
If you can read body movements you can ride in Cambodia
Nice ❤
Are you stupid
Nice video. I want to come there in January next year, as an alternative break from where i live in Thailand. Stay for a month. I want to rent a small detached house, 1 bedroom. Do you know any websites I can check this out on? I obviously looked on Airbnb, but dont want to book via that website if possible, thanks
Check out the IPS website or the Phnom Penh Housing FB page.
@@SecondLifeTravels1 IPS? what is that please?
@@nickmondo222It's a real estate company.
Is that legal????
Yep!
Hi secondlife! Living in the outskirts of Sihanoukville since 15 years, your video is absolutely fine for me. Simple and accurate,I was in Bangkok long time ago, driving a 400cc kawa, and now,in Cambodia,my Honda click(125cc) is perfect for this country driving habits. I hope that beginners will be convinced to follow your advice.😊
Toms of old farts paying local girls for pics.
Hope in all vedios of any country they show the rent of one bedroom pernight plus month so vedios help tourists too please
Just interested what does BKK stand for?

good places to buy a bike?

Very important >>> IF YOU BRING ANY US BILLS… MAKE SURE THEY ARE NOT DOG-EARED, WORN OUT OR MARKED IN ANY WAY. NOT EVEN A SLIGHT TEAR OR YOUR MONEY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED ANYWHERE BY ANYONE!!!
Correct. Best to just use the local currency and withdraw at ATMs.
@@SecondLifeTravels1 - Exactly right. Been doing that for 2 years. Never an issue. Always new $100 bills come out. I take them into the bank (ABA) to get $10 bills for $100’s. Never a charge to do that even without a bank account.
That was excellent and very helpful! 😎
Very informative information. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Riverside is where i stayed when i visited. Great for a short visit, but you're right, very busy and I'm not sure I'd want to live in that area. I did walk all the way down to the independence monument. Is that considered BKK1?
Yep, the northernmost tip of BKK1!
I would add: you may want to prepare your stomach. It is not that much about the food more about the bacterial flora here. The food is nice, shares traits with Vietnam or Thailand but you can get almost anything else here. Some people may have sensitive stomach. Learn what you can eat - and where (for me the coffee bought on the street is a no go unfortunately, though it is nice. Maybe the water quality.) Maybe even more important: if you do not have hepatitis A immunity (previous infection or vaccine) then get vaccine. In Southern countries Hepatitis A is like a child disease - eg. chickenpox in the North - and the situation is exactly that: as a kid it is unpleasant but immune system responds nice 99% of the time - as adult that is way more dangerous. I speak from experience, got it in Egypt and I learned these facts during my visit in a hospital in my country. Get your vaccination and then you are ok. Also: though you can get around with English with your basic needs nicely - learning the language of the host country is _always_ very rewarding. The writing system is tricky but if you can read it - learning goes faster because you can memorize a lot of words popping up frequently on the street, shops etc. Also if you bring know-how and share it - that is highly rewarded. It gives access to the communities here and that is always a good thing. (Actually, this rule applies everywhere, find the flavour for Cambodia). They are very focused on education now as development needs education and they lack manpower with know-how. Show respect to elderly - no matter the status - be it at the market or on the street. That is noticed on a silent way. Stop for a second to show attention to the person you interact with. That reciprocates good here on a silent way. These gestures are not overtly present in every society (in German: much more, in British: no, in Egyptian: very). Cambodia has a lot of opportunities, fast developing, safe and people in general will not cheat you for being a foreigner with special prices. Luckily sex tourism has not reached Cambodia as it reached Thailand many years ago and that adds to the general image of a foreigner. All in all - do not be an as*le.
Nice . Great memories in BKk
How often do they clean and sanitize the beds? That's my only concern. 😅
Who do you mean?
Thankyou for that information . I’m looking to retire it is a definitely a consideration.
thank you for touring around in Cambodian apartments....i'll give us some ideas when we go there

The Pizza Company has thick and thin crust versions. The owner is a former American salesman who obtained Thai citizenship. It also owns Swensen's and KFC in Cambodia and Thailand. (But in Thailand, KFC has 3 franchisees)
Wow its very useful video. Thanks Eric. Could you please let me know how much they have charged for Bus ? Is it we have to book the bus in online or I can get the bus ticket directly ? I am landing to Phnom Penh. Over all how much time it took to reach Koh Rong from Phnom Penh. One last question is they any ferry is available in Koh Rong to return on the same day. ? Thanks in advance. Looking forward to hearing from you.
The bus runs about $10-15. You can book online. You can return on the ferry on the same day, but I have never heard of anyone doing such a thing.
@@SecondLifeTravels1 Thanks Eric. Thanks for your reply. Recently you havent posted any videos. Post more videos. We will Support you. One last question could you let me know, Over all how much time it took to reach Koh Rong from Phnom Penh.?
