Great job guys! Can you tell me a little more about those heat sources. You have a wood stove..and...something that looks dangerous..LOLOLOL I'm kidding. What brands are they? So is that because you want options in case one method fails or do they do a poor job of heating and that's why you have two? I'm a nosey thing aren't I? hahaha

I don't know, nothing is PERFECT, everything has a compromise. We've had ours for 2 years and love it. Is it expensive, and to flush, maybe. Are there any better units, everyone has their favorite. Does it smell, maybe at times, but we're not Karens, so we're fine. But the fact that there is minimal plumbing, minimal installation, minimal smell, very heavy duty construction, convenient electrical options (ours is hard wired into DC), what's not to like? We tend to use public bathroom options as much as possible, (Planet Fitness for showers) and save the Laveo for night pees and emergency poops... works great.

That's why regular terlits in South America separate out P and 💩 right when it happens as the terlit bowl has a divider in it with two exit pipes, small one for P and a larger one for 💩. They were onto something acknowledging how bad it smells when you combine the two.

2 questions, first, how loud is this system outside? Second, being that it's an undermount, have you had any problem with dirt clogging any filters causing the system to work inefficiently?

Thank you for the honest review, and talking me out of this $$$ device. The company's website, is both annoying AND misleading. The Jiffy poo concept i neato. I'll stick with a bucket and a bag, if urban camping or in a delicate environment, a shovel and a hole elsewhere. Removed the RV toilet and blackwater from my boondocking rig. Near all review's of composting toilets like Nature's head also have left me convinced not to try those. The Incinolet definitely has a place but likely fire hazard in an RV. I've used those and compost toilets at off grid places, and they work well. BUT WHY ON EARTH ARE NEAR NONE OF THEST ALT TOILETS NOT ELONGATED FOR OUR BDs????

Good review. Probably only use it for number two. For one person, you can go 2 weeks. I was thinking I would put some kitty litter in it before flushing, to dry it up.

We use this toilet. No smell. Average 14 flushes. Replaced the battery once.

Your video helped me a ton. The only thing that makes me a little unhappy is you didn’t show those holes being drilled out. They were a pain in the a. Such a pain that some of the ones I didn’t even double up the bolts at the bottom two bolts at the top and one at the bottom and that’s strong enough.

Pee+poo=sewage, which = stink. Pee in a separate container and poo in the Laveo. Problem solved.

Nice job. I would’ve put the manual drain valve on the left side though for easier access.

Lily, our 2019 Sprinter, 170 extended, XD, 4x4, has been in 47 of the 48 and North Dakota might happen next month. Lily has been from Vancouver Island to Key West. From Los Angeles to Montreal. She's been to the bottom of Death Valley and 12,000 ft up in Rocky Mountain National Park. All of this would have been a lot less enjoyable without our HD series, 24v, split Cruise N Comfort AC system. Save your roof space for a deck or better yet, more solar. Excellent Job! It is actually a slap in the face of Ford's "engineers" of how vehicles should have left the manufacture. Your work have definitely given you more liberty and quality in the finish of your project. I like it a lot.

For what it's worth, the company Joolca just came out with a composting Toilet for about 300 bucks. You can also buy an insert and use it as a cassette toilet. I think the different inserts are about 80 bucks. I was going to build my own composting toilet when I came across a promotion for them as they make things like outside showers, and hot water heaters and such. I'm not associated with them in any way. I just mentioned it as an option. Locally here I found a guy who has 25 Laveo's for sale For $350 each, so I thought I would look them up again and check out reviews. I'm glad I found your review. I think I'm going to stick with the composting style. If you put disposable bags in them and use them one time it seems way better than dealing with this contraption that could possibly leak .

Couldn’t you have just drilled a hole where you put the tek screw and put a riv nut?

Yes it will be interesting to see if I have it on my 2024 transit. The Perimeter alarm was no longer an option when I ordered my vehicle. I was thinking that it would most likely come wired for it. To remove the wiring from the harness when you have thousands of harnesses, why bother to have a different harness for different options, that makes no sense.

Any help with getting the M10 bolt to catch vs free spin would be highly appreciated.

Thank you! I was able to use FORScan and a Vgate vLinker FS OBD2 USB adapter to enable Perimeter Alarm on a 2023 Transit that did not have the alarm option. I do not have shock sensing -- there is no sensor under my steering wheel -- but at least now I have basic alarm functionality. The alarm triggers after a courtesy delay if I reach through the window and open the locked driver-side door, whereas the alarm triggers immediately if I reach through the window and pop the hood.
