It is so impressive how you get the sound out of your horn. It is a beautiful sound, and it seems effortless from the bottom of the sax to the altissimo register. Also your phrasing, for me is so rooted on the tradition, but with a more modern touch. I really love it.

I've just returned home from our theatre in Guadalajara, Spain, where we enjoyed Erena's performance with Vincent Herring and Thier ensemble. It's been a memorable concert indeed. It was elegant, soulful, cheerful, playful, full of art from all performers. An evening to remember. Thank you!!

Erena, you have a gift for arranging! Keep it up! Love the sound of violins in a jazz setting. As for your solos, I've always noticed that you don't just play a bunch of notes. When you play, it means something. 🙂🙃🙂
