I just want to see those videos I loved so much again. One episode of counter monkey, the beginning of the FFXIII-2 review, a review of a movie I've never heard of before even, I'd be happy with anything except livewire.
I had a lot of fun yesterday attending the game. Hope no one is traumatized by my paintings
Thanks for joining us yesterday!
This won the award for "Most Likely to Take Out a Thug with a Nerf Ball to the Face". This game is so cheesy but entertaining! I never played it but am glad you guys are having fun.
Thank you for this It was amazing
Great stream!!
Just glad to see Noah enjoying games. I am a huge fan of his since I first found his videos back in Hight School around summer 2008. I know he will never make a comeback as a content creator, and knowing that sucks... but in the end all that matters is that he is doing well. Cheers.
Thank you for this stream, Al is always a joy to listen to!
Why is driving in the game much harder than driving in real life?
Al is a precious human being and one of the most important game developers. I remember sending him an email about a music piece from LSL7 missing in his website, and was amazed that he actually replied. I ended up recording it and sending him the file. He gladly uploaded it to his website and left a thank you for me. Today I'm an author, and whenever I get an email from a reader, I ALWAYS reply like Al replied to my emails, in the most kind and sincere way possible. Thank you for this video, I listened to every bit of it! Best Saturday gift! 🙏
Al is truly a class act! Thanks for watching!
Al is great. I have been following his twitter for quite some time now for healthy doses of cringey boomer humour. :)
I saw Al, along with Rob Gilbert, Roberta, Ken, and Jane at Pax West 2022. I was going to ask a question but time ran out. I might as well ask it now. It’s really cool that the old design documents for the Larry games and other titles are available on Al’s website. They’re a good read, and do you think it would be beneficial for others to release design documents?
The stream was fun! I hope you feel better
Hey Paul, happy to see you playing this one. Sorry you caught the COVID, I hope you shake that off soon.
I may be in the minority, but after playing the game myself twice, I've come to appreciate it. It just requires a thorough reading of the manual to know the course of action to take in any given situation, and some practice with the sub controls. Far from perfect, yes, but I do wish they had gone through with the sequel, Codename: Phoenix.
Honestly, Infernal Machine is one of my favorite games. Yeah, the controls are janky, but once you get used to them, and develop a feel for it, I find the balance of action, puzzles and exploration just PERFECT. Every time I play Uncharted I just lament how worn out I get by the action, disappointed by the exploration or underwhelmed by the puzzles.
Don't miss my playthrough of the game with Hal Barwood himself on August 5th! ruclips.net/video/QlYCtwO75ts/видео.html
Great stream guys, really glad to see you both, sorry that neither of you is feeling 💯, hope you're both a lot better soon. Paul did great at the shoot-out despite not taking cover, so well done there! I do have two questions, though: which part of Australia is Paul visiting and why isn't he really looking forward to it? 😮
I never saw Paul so happy to kill a man. "Best $20 I ever earned!" <pew pew pew> "Glory to Arstozka! Nobody gets in without my approval. Papers please." <stamp> <stamp> <stamp> DENIED DENIED DENIED "You want a reason? Because I said so..."
I am speaking for myself. I think that Steve did great portraying Cyrus.
It is great to see that you and Tori have become friends. I love your playthroughs.
So glad to see spoony looking good.
I only recently got around to playing Gabriel Knight (first two titles), and I have one question... I don't know if anyone will spot it here, but: Why is Gabriel Knight such a dick? Serious question. Most protagonists (like, well, Grace, Guybrush Threepwood, both Phantasmagorias) are presented as pleasant people to some degree, but I just don't get that from Gabriel. (Besides trying to stop people getting murdered, which in itself only signifies 'not evil'.) So, why? I can understand the argument that Gabriel could have been a vehicle for social commentary, or self-inserts, but that's a lot of assuming on my part.
Dan is wise beyond his years. I'm so happy for his success, he's earned every bit of it. An amazing talent in music and comedy. Great interview.
I'll say this, I miss Spoonster. It was because of him that my friend group got very hard into D&D, harder than we were already into it. It was because of him that we got more into Z-tier movies and the legend of Reb Brown. It's partially because of him that I ended up writing because all it takes is just a guy sitting and doing it. I'm looking forward to him getting back to it. Whether he believes it or not, he left a profound effect on the internet. That said, I would also like the Patreon stuff explained and elaborated on. A lot of people were and are rightfully sore because of how that turned out. But we've seen it with a lot of people: the best solution is to face it directly, be honest, take your lickings, and be welcomed back. Lot of old fans are going to be excited. Lot of new fans are going to be excited. This isn't and shouldn't be the end of The Spoony One. This should be the sequel. Older. Wiser. Wit sharper than the greatest bard's rapier.
hope there comes a remake also on ps5 love this game
41:01 lol “the reason everyone loves Tom hanks is because he plays D&D and kills people doing it.” That’s a reference to the movie “mazes and monsters.” Which is a movie spoony reviewed. Good to know it won that vote, wished spoony reviewed things again.
I didn't understand why you were frightened by Ethan's post. It seemed he didn't like that they turned the church into a mosque
I wasn’t frightened by his post. I just didn’t want to start a political discussion in the chat.
@@danielalbu Will you try to get him for an interview?
@@mkrispi Yes, I will.
@@danielalbu Yes I understood the reason now that you have explained it.Looking forward to the interview 👌
Sweet Jesus. I had no idea this game was by the police quest officer guy! The absurdity of these insanely specific crt text parser commands made me laugh 😄 This game is like one of those odd movies that got made because they had to appease the main star of some blockbuster action movie or something. "Sure you can make your own game/film after this one's done - just please stay on the project"😅 Sierra - and especially oldschool sierra - indeed never ceases to amaze and surprise.
@31:28 Daniel looks like he grabs his drink out of the game's envelope, takes a sip, then puts it back in inventory. 😂
I like to truly immerse myself in the game!
You've done good, Curtis... You've done good.
Oh dang, I watched 8 hours of this just to see that he never finished it. 😭
Nice to see Guybrush had a happy ending., and I like to think they live happily ever after. I imagine when he's old and senile he routinely forgets their anniversary and constantly asks "Who's Elaine"?
I think spoony is afraid of his own channel at this point... I mean he's willing to do a 7 part on ripper, but REFUSES to upload any type of worthwhile video to his own channel at all.....
Play Max Payne if you want to play an unforgettable classic
It must be odd for serious actors to look back on their lives and see that they made their biggest splash with an early live-action computer game - and that there are still heavily dedicated fans 25 years later!
Saludos desde España
Phantasmagoria 2 Audiobook Edition - "I Heard That, Curtis... All of it."
24:43 I think that there are two different things going on and Roberta's team was having trouble distinguishing between the two. The people who are interested in games that require them to think never went anywhere - they're still there in the younger generations. However, video games as an industry have ballooned in size and brought in a vast influx of casual players who don't want to think very hard. Back in the late '80s and early '90s those people just wouldn't have been gamers at all. So the proportions of different types of gamers are extremely different now, and if you want to make money on a mainstream big-budget game then you do need to cater to the massive casual audience - but lots of indie developers stay afloat making more niche titles, it's just a matter of balancing your budget with your expected sales.
I actually prefer the typing games because they miss one thing that I hate about point-and-click games; pixel hunting. The really good parser games, like Space Quest 3, are outstanding.
I don't understand why we don't have official remasters of these games when we have remasters of bad fmv games on consoles...
Hope you guys play more LA Noire soon!
Great game! Thanks for playing it. Although seriously that was Grace's plan? Lock a known werewolf in a theater box with unsuspecting police officers in a crowded theater?
Yep, that's pretty much her plan! And she had two months to come up with it!
Lady Luck must really like Gabriel since the plan only worked because several things happened that were out of her control and she didn't anticipate. @@danielalbu
Yeah, the way spoony solved the chess game in his riff on ripper involved letting the opponent take the pawns so his knights would unfreeze and move
Thank you so much for the channel, the work you're doing is phenomenal and its been so nice to get some much needed love on the FMV genre. Between and gaming steams and the interviews I'm in hog heaven 🥰 and Scott's been one of my favorite actors since I saw the 10th Kingdom as a kid so this was such a treat.
Daniel: he's not saying anything of importance. What's being said is how the ripper murders people. Information that finding a way to defend against drives the rest of the game
For the card moment. To explain in short, the trick is to show you the top card and the bottom card. But in truth you are not showing the top card but the middle card. So each time the Queen was on the top, you just have to follow the top card and you found your Queen. It's just a level 1 card manipulation trick that most crook know to do.
1:59:08 You called?
I have!
Hey Paul, if you feel like you need a leg up during the last stretch of this game, don't forget there's an easy mode you can toggle on and off in the menu. It gives you an extra 20 credits a day. You might not need it, though, you did pretty well on this one after you shook off the rust and you're pretty close to the end now. Looking forward to the next one!
Poor Daniel, I could feel your suffering in the end. Thanks for your dedication.
ah there they are :D "Krausgefarben" and "Ausgeschnitzel". Love these creations, but they do not make sense in german, the more you know. Indy becoming a living torpedo is one of my favourite moments in the game.
The text being censored cracked me up as the speech wasn't. It felt like the opposite of the bot that comes up when people donate to the stream that censors everything. "Thanks for being such a cl<asterix> <asterix> <asterix> y guy"
I have a comment to the guy with the glasses n this stream. I wish I knew your name, you know...the guy on the left...of the other guy on the stream...from my perspective. NO WAIT, HIS! I'm watching this stream through the bathroom mirror while brushing my teeth. So, my view is all off. I'll let you guys figure it out. You have glasses, so you're like, you know, smart. 🤓 Had fun both of you...(on the left and right). Great stream! I'll be back! (Now, what channel is this? "Conversations with the Glasses Guys") <subscribed>
