    I asked a salesman who he mostly sells the Taco to. He told the main buyer of the Tacoma is older/retired men. Toyota made the perfect truck for their market. Older Men have all the money, nothing to spend it on, and want to be comfortable. As a 32yo male I was wondering why people want all the fancy stuff. Kinda makes sense now why Toyota did what they did.

His only question was what does it do that yours doesn’t? I’ve already added CarPlay, new wheels and a brake controller so he’s right. Hi Mike, I'm. It sure is you watched the whole video, but I did mention that if you purchase the BFGs they are 3 peak, but the version that come on the Tacoma, that Toyota worked with BFG on for this truck are not 3 peak. Thanks for watching though.

    I reserved the IforceMax last May of 2023. I was going to pull the trigger on the non-hybrid but my wife said I should wait. She knows I'm going to wish that I waited for the IforceMax when it comes out while I'm driving the non-hybrid. But I'm getting impatient. My dealership said that it may not be out until July or August.

    • @BenInBeta
      @BenInBeta 25 дней назад

      My wife initially said the same thing, but then I drove the gas model. Have you done that yet? Drive it and then decide. When I have been back to the dealership for accessories, there have been Tacos on the lot every time. If you think, I wish it had more power, then keep waiting, if you think this is all I need, then get the gas model. The power setup on the hybrid is pretty nice, but If you don't have a use for that, the storage under the seats is pretty handy so far for us in the gas model. It's all a trade-off. Do what is best for you, being patient can really pay off too.

    I wet myself in 10s. Turn it off. Soap up the head and body. Turn it back on and rinse off in 30s. Use just a bit more than 1/4 of a Gal. So far this works very well for me on my 10-ish days trip. Pretty much shower 3 times and barely used 1 gal + or - a couple oz. This also work well when bathing my GSD. She likes her water warm.

    I don’t think you can call a stock truck with a tent an overland build. No winch, no recovery points, no bumpers. If a honda civic can go to all the same places it’s not over landing its car camping.

    • @BenInBeta
      @BenInBeta 29 дней назад

      You're entitled to your opinion of course. I don't agree though. And neither does the definition of overlanding: Overlanding is a type of self-reliant adventure travel that involves traveling to remote destinations by mechanized transport, often over unpaved roads, and primarily camping along the way. But thanks for the comment.

      @@BenInBeta don’t get me wrong you have a nice truck. I guess the part that got me was “overland BUILD”. And yes you’re correct and technically you can overland on a bike.

    • @BenInBeta
      @BenInBeta 28 дней назад

      @nicholas9642 there are different levels of a build and this is just the beginning for us too. I think this is how most people would start as well. I don't know what your build looks like, but I'm sure it's awesome. As one builds out their vehicle it becomes more capable and that is great, but a build doesn't have to mean you're adding every possible accessory, a lift, and 37 inch tires in one shot or at all. We've added AT4Ws, front skids and rock sliders this far and we've definitely gone where a Civic cannot. I do appreciate the conversation though and maybe when we get back doing a podcast sometime you can pop on and show off your rig. Have a good one.

    That’s a lot of weight up high like that, any feedback?

    • @BenInBeta
      @BenInBeta Месяц назад

      I have not really noticed it at all. There's a lot of weight in the bed too which tends to offset that a bit. Just riding around town I don't notice the tent at all. It was a concern for me originally and one reason I had planned to run in mid height, but it's not been a problem at all so far.

      0 issues with the engine or transmission. I've only had some software bugs with the infotainment system and a smaller one with the driver's display not remembering my layout. And I blew a fuse in the bed DC ports, but again that's pretty minor. Thanks for watching and for the question.

      First thanks for watching. It honestly hasn't changed much from before I added everything. I get around 17-18 on short trips or heading up into the mountains and 20-25 on the highway depending on terrain. On the trails it's between 5-12 mpg. Depending on terrain and if I'm in 4 hi or low.
