i find comfort with Traumacore and Menhera Yamii Kawaii, both are contreversial but for me i find it more of an expression, Traumacore express with art and Menhera Yamii Kwaii express in clothing. I struggle telling my feelings and emotions because i dont know where the line is and also come off as either "romanticising it or glamorizing it" even tho i didnt meant for it come out that way and struggle to find specific words that dont come off as that so i usually do art to express myself.

do you know of the silt verses? its not really like alien or space themed or anything but it is suuuuuuuper starflesh.

Weirdcore makes me really uncomfortable and disturbed, i dont like the weirdcore genre and this is just my opinion

as a Starflesh creator, I feel sad as with the TikTok ban, no one may see my work anymore. Wish other platforms would let others enjoy my creations and edits

This was definitely one of the more interesting videos! Im now pretty interested in the aesthetic.

I kind of have mixed feeling about it. The suffix “-core” is a huge issue due to it falling under “aesthetics” in wiki. Another thing I have noticed is that vent art about traumas other than csa or sa aren’t commonly seen. Since it’s supposed to be a community where you are seen and heard, it’s very difficult because it’s only mainly about sexual trauma, leaving others who went through other things isolated and pushed away. Topics such as bullying, discrimination, racism and isolation aren’t really present. Im not trying to minimize anyones trauma because it can happen to anyone and happen in different ways we don’t expect. As someone who went through severe bullying and still being discriminated and isolated, it’s hard to even relate to half of the vent art because it only has one specific topic. Even the aesthetics wiki says it itself and nobody seems to point this out. it’s on THE AESTHETICS wiki. It feels like it’s being treated as “cutecore” rather than an actual safe place tbh

Traumacore is something i hold deeply since it's been there throughout my darkest time. I suffer greatly from my mental illnesses, and having an outlet of people who think like me and have been what I have been through is extremely vailding. People misunderstand traumacore and similar art form of expression because either they have never been through it or simply don't see the bigger picture. Its a voice we have been shunned to use.

Please look into coldcore it’s a smaller technically, sub, genre of the grunge aesthetic, but it hits very close with me and I need someone to talk about it because there is something so visceral about it it’s almost liminal space esq I need someone to look into it because half the time I can’t find anything about it and you somehow end up finding everything about every aesthetic I’ve ever heard of

For me, cottagecore was always just the tradwife fantasy being sold to women without the parts they might find objectionable (men, children, manual labour). Everything else about it (the pristine feminine, isolation etc) is just tradcon fantasy

Liminal spaces are generally comfortable to me. That said, there was one area that I really wanted out of. The year was 2023. We had a small tornado rip through town, and with the panic of the news, my bed ridden grandma had climbed out of bed, and broken her leg. We got home, called the ambulance, and followed them to the hospital. My mom and I stayed there until 1 am. In the hospital, there were many hallways, staircases, and smaller wings. None of them compared to this one hallway. This one hallway had bright overhead lights, and windows on one side. It was pitch black outside, and the surrounding rooms were dark. Mind you the lights were not motion activated. So just in the middle of darkness, there was this one hallway that was completely empty other than a stretcher and the fluorescent overhead lights.

The ideological issues with homesteading and the ideals around it aren't just an American thing. The N@zis were aspiring to American empire, and Lebensraum was about homesteading on Slavic land. The biggest thing I noticed about the cottage core models wasn't their hyper-femininity, it's the fact that the vast majority aren't just White, they're blonde and blue-eyed. It's hard not to feel some Lebensraum vibes in the midst of all of that craving for Germanic homesteading and Volkisch aesthetics.

If I had to try and describe the visuals, its a call to a distorted nostalgia and at points the same kind of thing as silent hill. Calls back to things a person might have seen in childhood.

Its taken a while for me to be in a safe mindset to watch this. It was a great video. I always flipflop between wishing i could remember my whole life and not caring. Maybe it really wasnt that bad at the weird stuff that dredges itself up on occasion are false alarm flukes. Maybe it was horrible and what i remember already being bad was truly heinous. Isnt all child abuse, though? Theres plenty in adult times to process without dealing with more childhood pain if its there, i suppose. Is it bad to be so open to the idea of my childhood being worse? Maybe thats a healthy way to prepare for something terrible, ha. Thank you for being kind.

You don't connect to an animal, you connect to your IDEA of an animal. In reality, animals don't have articulate thoughts, and they are driven by fear, hunger, pleasure, and lust. There's nothing noble or pure about a creature that will fornicate with its own offspring or parent, and which will keep procreating even if it can't provide for its young. It got dogs pretty much right! I still don't get why so many people find a creature that has no concept of language, causes bites and deaths while providing no outweighing benefit on societal level, physically can't love, and will holler for hours on end with no consideration for its owner or anyone else "cute". Nice video!

I appreciate you making a video about such and underrated aesthetic I've never heard of, but yet I have been making art that is very similar to this for years now. Love your videos 🙂
