Iceland - The Glacier Region Hornafjörður
This video is a compilation of some drone videos I took in 2023. Drones are my hobby, but my main job is mayor of the municipality of Hornafjörður.
Hornafjörður municipality is the true kingdom of Vatnajökull, and access to this largest glacier in Europe, is nowhere as good as there. The nature in Hornafjörður is magnificent, and most tourists who visit Iceland choose to come to our little corner of the world in southeast Iceland.
The music is by the band FÓKUS, comprised of young women from South Iceland.

Jökulsárlón is a glacial lagoon in the municipality of Hornafjörður. It is a part of the Vatnajökull National Park and one of the most popular places in Iceland for photographers and filmmakers. The Glacier Lagoon is a short distance from the Atlantic Ocean, and chunks of ice are accessible on the black sand beach nearby.
Amazing video!! I didn't know anything about Iceland and i am learning a lot with this serie. These places are really beautiful with a lot of history. Can't wait to see the rest of the videos :) New fan from Bangalore
