Relatable bro, im 4th gen born in the U.K and the struggles are real

I am 48, and I can tell you from my experience doing your own business is hard. Income is not stable, and that is the biggest issue. I used a hybrid model, I had a regular time job, and I ran my own business. There were years I didn't sell anything, and what kept me afloat was my regular job.

Build something for yourself in this life!

Just came out of my studies last year straight into an entry level job in the industry I trained in. None of my superiors have positions I'm even remotely interested in, they're all depressed and the work seems horrifying. 4 months in at the moment, stuck between the crossroads of sticking around for another year, grabbing a promotion then moving on - or dipping out now and figuring out a different path. Taking a holiday tomorrow to process things and we'll see how I feel when I'm back
