Honestly the tempo stuff they were attempting in the closer was pretty incredible… they make it look so easy
I do not believe this is a marching show if there is music with lyrics playing during the show. I couldn't hear any actual instruments at all.
Yo I'm from science hill one of y'all's rival schools and I just wanted to say I love y'all's show and good luck for next year we might be in boa and we're getting the a dci designer for our show who even designed Carolina crown 2013 which is the only year they won but great show man I enjoyed it and good luck next year

Can someone explain this whole show yo me? I absolutely loved it but i feel like im missing the meaning.

It's a Voltaire type thing, I forgot the whole of it. basically this guy falls in love with a girl but he can't be with her, so he goes to find her and has a whole like acid trip and sees these people with the heads of animals who are just messing with him. (I was in the band btw, not playing but I was a prop and one of the animal head characters)

It's meant to mock the rich and how the will do anything to get more money
It’s a satire on the blatant “best of all possible worlds” attitude that was prevalent in society during Voltaire’s time (he’s the author of the novel Candide). It also pokes fun at marching band in general: you have them marching around in tuxes and dresses playing serious music (evocative of an uppity and fancy night at the opera) while the animals mock them, make fun of their choreo, etc

I saw y'all at BOA Alabama (I'm from hillgrove highschool) and I can truly say that this was one of if not the best highschool show I've seen to date. Congrats on 6th place and I look forward to seeing you guys next year!

Dude chill, we did it for fun our show was literally fire themed. Trust me our directors wouldn't have done this is if wasn't gonna be okay. Plus we're a High School Band, it's not like we're professionals anyways
