Camping in the north east, there wasn’t really a problem with critters coming around, although the black flies could be numerous enough to carry you away some years, so we preferred enclosed tents. Once you get into Va and the Carolinas you have to start contending with more dangerous creatures like snakes and by the time you move toward Ga there are scorpions to deal with - which is why I’ve never done any open air camping beyond NC. I’m guessing you see plenty of scorpions out in the western areas of the country. I’d like to know how you deal with them.

Wish I could test ride this motor. Been looking at it on and off for a year, still interested but I want to know how the pedal assist feels and I would really like to set it up without a throttle at all Know you can do it without the throttle, but I want to experience it. Does it ride at all like the Bosch pedal assist system or similar?

Great review whats the highest speed on this smlro ebike , is there an option to get this ebike with indicators and rear suspension ? seems like the vertical frame section closest to the front wheel fender could house an extra battery as that second battery in the center of the frame seems a bit too small. .

I have 1, I’ve had it about 2 years. I love it but in my experience you will not get 19 miles on multiple terrains. If I’m riding around Denver, through a park, mostly paved roads I’ll get about 12 miles. My tires are fairly soft and that gives it a really great ride. I am also about 170 lbs. I get about a max speed of 20 when I’m on it. If no one is on it, it will get to 35 mph. Also I’m about 5’9 and if I set the seat at the lowest setting I can just barely flatten my feet on the ground. If you are any shorter than me this bike is probably not for you. Mind you I am a complete cycling amateur. Also if the battery dies on you it’s not that easy to ride because it is heavy. I let my battery die once and had a 3 block uphill ride. I got off and walked it because it was easier. Again I am a total amateur cyclist I don’t really know how I should set my gears and I am 55 years old. Also as far as the range, I was a federal food inspector and was never in town so the bike could literally sit up to 8 months without being turned on. Could that have degraded my battery? Not sure. Overall a pretty nice bike. Also I agree with the gentleman who made this video, don’t even consider that it “fold”, this thing is huge and awkward even when folded and won’t save you any space.
