After a long fight with the carburetors I seeked help at MAB power in Germany. The mechanic found that the exhaust cam was misplaced by one tooth! The result afterwards was amazing! The output were increased more than 50HP Unfortunately the exhaust manifold was cracked, so there was no hardcore result from the dyno run... The bike performed afterwards 190HP at 0.9bar of boost.

Can you guys pls tell me how to connect volume control bose 5
Thank's for taking the time to do this video regarding the pulley upgrade ,it was very helpfull ,and nice to watch . I did the upgrade recently aswell ,and also bought the Chinese / ebay pulley ,with the removal kit (wich is a must to get the old one off ) . The removal of the original pulley was fairly easy ,but the fitting of the new one not so much ...after heating the pulley in the oven 3 time's at 225 degrees celcius for almost an hour at each attempt ,i could not get the pulley to slide on ,until i took a gas torch and carefully heated the pulley for 5 minutes ,and that did the trick ....i decided to cool the pulley with compressed air ,just to be sure that the heat didnt damage any internal seals in the supercharger . And as mentioned in a previous post ,its better to buy a higher quality belt ,as the one that came with the ebay kit does't looked that great ( it might hold up very well ,but i dont won't to take a chance on this one ) Next thing is making a appointment with the tuner for a remap .
I have companion 5 with broken pods.. how can i bypass the ON switch of the controller to keep it open .. thanks

Hello, Thank you for this video and comments. I have the same rattle problem on my 2009 A6 V6 TFSI. I will try to change the 2 top tensioners. I bought the engine timing tools. By removing the compressor, is it accessible? Do you need to remove the catalytic converters? For parts, I saw in another video that you bought INA tensioners? I hesitate to take those at Audi which are very expensive. the small slides at the top were not broken? Has the cold start rattle problem ever returned after replacing the tensioners? Thank you for your answers.
Hi Thank you for watching my video! The removal of the compresor is nessecery but it is very easy and tales only about 20min When it is of then change the oil on the gear! On my car removeval of the catalyst converters was not needed but I read on Audizine that some S4 and S5 with same engine has a shield for the secundary air valves wich is not possible to remove with the catalyst converters not removed... The tensioners from INA did the job and there was no cold start rattle afterwards! The small chain guides you will need to get geniue bud they are only $4 each. Also you need ti buy new bolts for the tensioners ant the cam spokets! If you are happy with the car and want to keep it for a long time i would suggest that you chance the valve lifters and rollers. I didn't and I was struggling with sporadic ignotion fault on one cylinder. It turné out to be the rollers and lifters so I had to do the cam timing twice😂
Flotte fisk, gode omgivelser Nyd turen!

Did it it works
Thanks
Yes it works!
hello friend Before you replaced did you get any code with a fault number?
Hi No there was no fault codes regarding the timing. But I had faultcodes for misfire on one cylinder. It gave me some headache! It turned out to be the rocker/rollers for the hydraulic lifters! If you deside to change the cam tensioners then I would suggest to do the rolers and lifters at the same time. They are not that expensive. You will need new bolts for the cam covers though...
@@torbenfunch9937 thanks man, you change only the tensioners? i have the same noise and i dont get a any fault code, but i check all the 6 cylinder, and i get 1 misfire counter on the cylinder 2, i think its a same problem :(
@@msika933 yes I only changed the tensioners!
you went to Mac to learn how to use Bose? so you took it apart and hacked it to do some dumb shit? You’re an idiot there is a clearly Marked input on the volume controller to plug in whatever you want.
Short SENSOR pin (3.3V) and RMTGND pin to generate a softstart to reset USB controller to wake up system.
Wich is the pin of RMTGND and which one is the sensor?
@@mvfernando I just looked in the circuit diagram. And it seems its pins 6 and 9, if you look from the back at the connectors and count top-left=1 bottom-right=10. But I cant confirm if this works, since I dont have any jumper cables on hand.

Hi - very formative video and comments. I have the same system, but I do not have the control pod. what is the easiest way to bypass need of the control pod all together if all I am doing is connecting to computer through USB (I can control volume on computer I suppose). Would like to bypass control pod plug in , keep fully on and full volume at all times and control through USB. any help appreciated!
Bro i have the same problem as yours .. i have broken volume controller pod, what did you do to keep it On and in max volume to maximize the sound ..
I bought that same product also and got it installed now. Here is some notes: -For A6 c6 and this removal tool, there is no need to put car on to the service mode. Just take off the bonnet lock and the air intake duct. Installation process itself takes about 1,5 hour, if the new pulley fits on at the first try. - There is very limited room to work. Make sure you have LONG and slim 16mm wrench to loose the belt tensioner. - Loose the belt tensioner and put the locking pin to hold it still. This makes installation process way more easier. I took video with my phone from the engine bay to locate the locking pin hole. - Pulley removal tool worked fine. Make sure you align it straight towards axle. I made mistake here and destroyed the threading from tip of the tool. - Make sure the new pulley wheel is heated at least 200-250c when you install it on the axle. Pulley wheel cools down really fast, so you must have some sort of oven right next to the car. I utilized an airfryer for heating it to 200c for 1 hour and after that I used heat gun for 5min to ensure needed installation temperature. - This particular pulley from Aliexpress seems to be more tight fit than OEM. I tried to measure it and difference seems to be around <0.1mm. I used fine sand paper rolled on drill bit to carefully hone the center hole bigger. If you take too much, use e.g. Loctite 648 to secure the connection....DO NOT weld it on or you might screw up ECU and other electrical components. - Push the pulley wheel all way back and use pressurized air to cool the wheel and the SC-axle, otherwise high temperature could damage the oil sealing of the SC. - Installation process is pretty straightforward, easiest way to put the new belt on is to slip the belt on to the "opposite way" guide last. - And most importantly: Please consider buying higher quality pulley to make your life easier... Tool was ok, but tolerances for shrink-fit are too precise for Chinese low quality production. Worst case scenario the center hole would bee too larger and the pulley wheel slips off when your engine is running.
I did the same thing with sand paper and drill-bit! To be sure the pulley wouldn´t get loose I spot welded the pulley wheel on to the SC axle. Note if you use the belt that comes with the set then keep an eye on it! It is wery bad quality and mine only lastet 4000km!
@@torbenfunch9937 Thanks for the heads up. I will replace it asap.

My bose companion 3 series 11 problem when full blast the bass. The sound go out and no more sound anymore . Your method able to solve this problem.
Ask a question. I bought the same product as yours, but it doesn't work even if I put it in an oven capable of 230 degrees Celsius for 40 minutes. Is there a way?
The supercharger pulley was heated in an oven at 230 degrees for 40 minutes. And when I try to put it on, it doesn't fit. Does not enter.
Cut a thin of 0.7mm?
So you can´t get the new pulley on to the supercharger? I had the same problem and that is why i did not show it in the video as it was not a pretty sight seeing me struggle... What I did was: I added a pice of fine sandpaper(grain 400) on to a drill and rolled in on to the same size as the hole on the pulley. Carefully i used it to sand the hole in the pulley. Be carefull as this is a press fitt. You will not take of to much!!!!!! After that i heated the oven again and then it worked! I did a little trick just to make sure it stayed there. I gave it a small spotweld at the corner on the supercharger axle...
@@torbenfunch9937 There is a company that does CNC lathe processing nearby. How many millimeters should I cut? It's really difficult.
@@yerin1202 Did you successfully install the pulley?
Mine does the same thing. Was there any damage to the timing components as a result of the chain slap with the old tensioner? I am actually going to try changing the oil pressure check valves before doing the tensioner to see if there is an improvement.
Good idea with oil pressure test but I don't think you will find it too low. It is caused by oil draining from the tensioners. From what I could see there were no damage to other timing components.
@@torbenfunch9937 Thanks!
@torben , he is referring to the valves that keep oil in the heads.
Were you able to replace tensioner on car?
You do know there was and still is a simpler way, I am an award-winning audio artist, i have 2 Bose Companion 5 systems. 1 for my computer setup, where I use it to play tracks recorded in the recording studio, & the other is for my cinema sound system, of all the computer systems I have tried these are by far the best sounding, for the cinema I have it all wired up in fiber, I did need to buy a fiber to 1/8 inch out to input in the line in ... a prozar 192khz DAC converter box (see images in google search) that uses a 5v power, for about $20 on WISH as they did or still don't sell in North America, only in China, now you can get them for about $40-$50 in Walmart.. Amazon etc... Good luck
Hej, how many kilometers did your car have when you cleaned the intake valves?
282.000km I have no idea if it had been done before? But it was about time!
@@torbenfunch9937 It really was! Wish you a worry-free ride, this engine should be strong and last long after intake valve clean and timing chain guides :)
