Okay first up wooo fellow Australian (also the newscaster voice made me look at the tv and I don't even watch the news as a general rule lol) Grace (and Steph) my beloved (and the irony my main fandom/ship obsession atm is Grace and Persephone, ironically nicknamed "Seph", from stray gods so when I hear Grace I'm still associating the name with the leather jacket and black boots and the very obvious bi energy from that Grace which is a fun juxtaposition with this Grace) The Grace song at the end though was really the nail in the "we really need to unpack that" coffin. I mean babes please as much as I love a villain arc I feel like immediately switching to satanism probably isn't the best coping mechanism, I mean you were never fully hinged but now the doors not even there (the switch from "Jason goes to my church sometimes 😊" to "Now DIE 😈" was wild)

Firebringer was the first Starkid musical I ever saw, and it's still one of my favorites. It's just a really fun show, and the music is fantastic

From a content perspective, this is far from my favorite Starkid show. The music is fine, there's only a few songs that I really love. The chorus for "nerdy prudes must die" sounds super rushed to me, personally. I still like it, and maybe it's just me being autistic. That being said, from a technical perspective-costuming, lighting, staging, all of that-this is an absolute masterpiece of a show. Edited to add that the guy playing Max deserves a damn Oscar, he STOLE this show during his damn entrance
