@@Thomas_Anders0n He didn't care that it was Genkais disciple for nostalgic reasons or anything he just believed that if anyone was strong enough to possibly challenge him it would probably have to be someone with Genkais power. If Toguro knew about Sensui you can 100% bet he'd be in Sensuis business constantly and not caring what Yusuke does (before demon Yusuke).

He's maybe technically right but Yusuke may have had the potential for the Mazoku blood as early as returning from the dead the first time and obtaining spirit awareness. There's no indicator that he wasn't strong enough then since there were likely no one in the 400 year gap between his human biological parents who were psychics much less psychics as talented as what Yusuke becomes. Ideally though its not as if the Spirit Wave orb didn't help. If the transmigration needed a human (or other compatible species) to be as spiritual powerful as an Upper B Class fighter then he's not wrong. But that's just really vague. Most humans would never reach such a level of power. Even Genkai holding on to the Orb wasn't and you can't blame her age since her fighting style is designed to maximize her strength at the peak of her fighting ability. I think its just more broad. It's likely by the time Yusuke finished Genkai's training in preparation for the Dark Tournament he was already strong enough for the atavism.
@@Monty2289 he wasn’t strong enough for it yet until he receive the spirit wave orb and release the spirit cuffs which pretty much boosts his spiritual power even more. Then once he saw kuawabra (fake) death he broke down that barriers of his feels where he pretty much boost up to A class. That what awaken his demon DNA. The question is did Yusuke hear something to tell him to die and be reborn again. Cause Yusuke some how know the name of his ancestor without being told who or what his name was.

Looking back these guys sound like politicians looking to screw over allies after a setback.
If you read the manga, you're far closer than you think. The stronger Demons are very intelligent and were far more political as well, however King Yamma instilled fear into everyone else, claiming the demons were mindless monsters just so he could maintain control over everything. Sadly, this nonsense about barriers and whatnot was just deformation.

It always annoyed me when I got a characters ending and things went badly for them, I just finished kicking ass with them and the endings like "No you lose."
