Dyno day for the K24 swapped S2K
Просмотров 889Год назад
The K24 peaked at 229WHP and 176 FT/LBS with maxed out F series injectors. It would have most likely touched closer to 240whp if we used stock K series injector but the point of the tune was to get a baseline as to how the engine was performing and to fix the lean mixture it has at higher rpms. As we could tell, this is a very happy K24. Owner: @markxs2k Follow us on Instagram for extras: @cbgm...

First dyno day was at Prestige Metal Coatings in Stockton CA. Second day was at Holshot Performance in Sacramento CA. For anyone wondering about the car moving at the first shop, we purposely left slack so that it would sit on one roller during the pull and then sit back down on both after he lets off. We would get inaccurate readings if we left it on both rollers Modifications: - Unopened 30k ...

Note: This is for anyone that is looking to do the conversion without machining the transmission bellhousing hence why a self centering shifter is required. I actually made this video in November of 2021 but I never got around to posting it until now. My only complaint over these last 9 months of using the shifter is that the RTD shift knob is way too mall for my liking and just never felt righ...

Thanks I needed this
You forgot to put the inner bushing under weight tension before tightening. If you do it like that the weight of the vehicle is going to destroy that bushing fast. Always tighten any bushing under vehicle weight. Use the jack to lift the suspension until the car comes off the hack stands. Looking good man. 👍
im hearing leaning towards a k powered s2000 for my next s2000...but lets remember how amazing the f20c is. my f20c with boltons made 224/150 to the wheels by EBTEC
Any idea on the caliper bolts size? Got Honda oem ones and they don’t work in the caliper only thread half way in
This was a great video guys. S sounds great. Different but still great😅

Have you guys solved or figured out what makes that chirping noise (on startup or on take off)?
We never really looked into it lol. Eventually it became very intermittent. Once that happened, we stopped caring especially since now it only does it once in a while
Does it have ps or ac?
S2k has electric power steering stock. A/c compressor is there. We just need to figure out how to get the ecu to bump idle up when it turns on.
neighbors: why have you done this?
jew-jean 😂😂😂
Did you guys get the ac to work if so what did you
Still working on that. We can manually get it to come on but the ecu won't kick the compressor on or raise idle. When we do get it to work properly we'll likely talk about it in another video
@@cb_garageany news on a working ac coupled with the ecu?
Just enjoyed watching the whole S2K series. Learnt a lot! Post some more updates!
Hi, Hi, are there any problems driving with the brake calipers mounted with the bleeder screw at the top and therefore the large piston at the bottom? Since they have asymmetrical pistons, the one with a small diameter must be facing downwards.... I don't make trackday, can there be problems with braking and brake pad wear when driving on the road? Thanks
Sorry for the late response, we've been pretty busy lately. Most vehicle manufacturers (aside from Honda) have the bigger piston leading, being at the top with the bleeder screw, rather than trailing, but that is because most vehicles with factory BBKs have their calipers mounted in the trailing position of the hub rather than the leading position like the Type S, integra, civic etc. In our case the caliper is now being mounted on the trailing side of the wheel so the bigger piston is leading so it is positioned on the bottom, however it made no noticeable difference in pedal feel, under hard braking or while on track. Other thing to note is the bleeder screw must always face up specifically because of gravity pulling air bubbles upwards so we mounted the caliper opposite of how they are positioned the TL type s
How much did you shave off the calipers?
I'll be honest I have no idea. We just kept shaving off little by little until the caliper sat in the perfect spot or if we shaved off to much we used shims to compensate
@@cb_garage yall wild lol But thanks for letting me know
lol I just bought a new head for my f series…. 1400 beans. I was gonna k swap 3 years ago but didn’t have the heart to do it to the s. Don’t get me wrong an extra 20lbs of torque and the price is killer. But the car came with the f series and they are one of the best 4 cylinders ever made. Sorta makes the car. I’d love to drive a k set up and feel the difference. Great job looks good!
How have these pparts faired? Any issues? How many miles etc. Cheers
We've put about 20k miles on it since we installed them. No issues so far
What idler did you bolt in and how
Can y’all drop a parts list pls
Updated the description with the parts list
Great to see Anthony still on the grind at Hybridworks! Sick K24 S2K, definitely jealous! Wish my S2K had those numbers, mines needs more torque haha!
Is it better then the F20?
Night and day difference. Probably the only downside is lower redline but everything else about the K makes up for it
Kpower intake manifold would have made it much cleaner
Thats actually next on the list, we're just busy with work lol

How much HP without turbo?
228whp with small modifications
Thank you again we shared intel on Kswap s2 tb
ASMotorsports sells pre-built motors including adaptors and hardware. It'll cost me 20k+ but it'll be a clean setup.
Personally I don’t know if I can justify 16k more for a cleaner setup but it’ll definitely look nice
this is a very informative video. i appreciate the detail put in and parts included. i just dropped a valve on my F series and considering wanting to Kswap.
how long did it take you to k swap it?
Assuming we had all parts, no complications, and no side jobs, it should've taken us like 2-3weeks tops but ended up taking closer to about 5-6months lol
this is one of my dream swaps, when are you finishing it man???
I’m calling out all the STI’s 👀
👏🏼👍
THE MAN IS BACK
Is this on e85 or pump 91/93?
Pump 91. Selling the setup and going with a haltech ecu and e85 in a couple months

How are you liking the rtd without the lockout so far? Any problems? Im debating between irp and rtd. Thanks
To be honest, after about a few minutes or maybe an hour at most, you get used to having no reverse lockout. It was easier for me to tell if I had made the mistake of going into reverse because the backup camera would come on but even others that I let drive the car agreed that its fairly easy to get familiar with what gears you are in. For spirited driving, in my opinion, it's pretty hard to miss gears. Shifts are very nice, direct, and crisp. The only thing to be cautious of is that they do use a fairly stiff spring for the shifter so initially granny shifting was difficult but it goes away after a few weeks of driving similar to how lowering springs or coilovers get broken in. Personally, I love it. Whether you go with the reverse lockout or not, I would highly recommend using any of their shifters. The one and only thing I am not a fan of with the kit is the shift knob. The tear drop design just didn't feel natural in my hand and made shifting feel weird/unnatural which explains why I initially had difficulty but once I swapped over to a ball shif knob, it felt perfect. Just a preference though
Thanks for your input man, ended up buying the coolerworx one , hope i like it once it gets installed. Now i’m in the middle of taking the smg selector out. do you remember how you got yours out? Or any tips that would help? I’ve seen some people chop a few pieces off of it but i don’t want to go that route just yet.
