    You say equity. But not everyone brings the same kind of work to the table. Equity isn't Equality.

    Thanks Serilda. A single sentence can be misinterpreted as coded language, a microaggression or racial bias; this is why the additional discussion that follows is helpful as you mentioned. In each instance, when this dialog occurs, we move to a more just world.

    It isn't possible to be inclusive and diverse if the laws themselves are racist. It is possible if the companies break laws. The question is--- will the companies break the laws?

    KSA or DIE. If you’re a government worker or a veteran that has applied for a government job your qualifications are based upon: KSA = Knowledge, Skills, Ability. DIE = Diversity, Inclusion, Equity (Equity is not the same as Equality) does nothing to prove an individual’s Knowledge, Skills and Ability to do the job. If a company feels compelled to add a DIE hiring manager or change their company logo to rainbow colors to pander to the LGBTQ group or DIE group, it’s perceived as patronizing and thus that company may be suspect or actually guilty of past discriminatory hiring practices. The bottom line…any Federal, State, public or private company that discriminates against a person’s race, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, political affiliation, economic status, veteran status or disability is in violation of State and Federal employment laws. KSA or DIE. Teach your children well.

    Saw a fellow manager target a black woman and get her fired for being "rude". Started writing her up for nothing. I personally knew this woman, and she was the kindest soul. The big difference between the manager and the employee? The manager was white and found her threatening.

    • @number4cat1
      @number4cat1 3 года назад

      The manager found her threatening for being "the kindest soul"? Or was she only the "kindest soul" to members of her own race? Your story just reads "I hate white people" without any more details. Why would someone reading it think you or your friend weren't the real racists? Kind of depends on your point of view, doesn't it? I try to be friendly to anyone I meet, but I get all kinds of attitude from black people.

    I experience alot of microaggressive teachers and at church being kicked out of youth and church by a mean white woman we go won't keep my name out of her mouth and kept bossing me around, being prejudice, silenced for no reason, being rude to other people at church, interfering in people's lives and business, shady, sneaky and nasty behaviour of her... My silence is broken........

    Its a simple question. Will you be sheeptrained into playing the victim (and be easilly offended/controlled over nothing) or will you work to develop the emotional strength you see in others where all that nonsense rolls right off your back? Its your focus that determines your reality

    Many of the microaggressions are based on stereotypes but also, the fact that many people have never closely examined their biases. They have just accepted these biases as fact. Also, white-centering is problematic for many people of color as this allows people to have an "out" available. Seeing the problem from the majority point of view offers no solutions to those dealing with the problem.

    I feel you BUT white people face assumptions and biases too... black women make the assumption that white people think they are loud, emotional, and aggressive... some white people are like - that just like some black women are loud and emotional.
