I just got introduced to Schecter, I recently picked up a 2010 Diamond P custom 4 and I am in LOVE! I've seen people playing these Exotics online a couple of times now. I'd actually be afraid to try one, as I don't have any business buying another bass right now. If I liked how it felt and played and sounded as much as I like my Diamond series, I'd be in trouble, because while I usually prefer solid color glossy finishes - that's a sexy looking bass right there with that wood finish and the black hardware. It's gorgeous!

How do you like that Schecter?
I really like it! I was very interested to play a P-Bass with an active pickup. I'm mainly a passive pickup player, but this bass has a lot of tonal features that always cut nicely in a mix. Not to mention the roasted maple neck which I really like. The bass feels and sounds great!

I'd recommend checking this one out! Though it's nothing like a P-Bass. It feels great and has a nice bottom end presence. Lots of tone options as well!

@@markrynkun4360 Dear Mark, the bass arrived 3 hours ago. It's been in my hands ever since. Sounds and feels amazing. It's my first 5 str bass so it will take some time to get used to it. The pickups allow for so many different sounds!

I've had it for quite some time now and it's being used in a lot of recordings (mostly rock) I've been a part of. Happy to shed some light about it if you have any questions!
@@markrynkun4360 TBH I think I just need to get it. Ideally I'd just go try it in person but no local shops have them so I'd have to order it. I've never thought of Schecter when it comes to basses but after doing some reading up it seems like they're churning out some quality instruments under the radar.
I have the J-4 the jazz variant and it's an excellent bass, fantastic tones and playability had it for just over a year now and it's still the first bass I pick up when I play

Just like these modern rock songs, I can't hear the bass. Perfect if you want an invisible bass guitar.
I hear it perfectly! But indeed the volume could be higher.
Every nuance of the bass is lost by the blaring guitar’s
I can hear it perfectly, maybe it's because I'm wearing headphones. These types of basses are perfect if you are a Hired Gun, and P Basses in general are because they want you to "Sit in The Mix" in other words "buried" in the mix, and most P Basses get buried.
This is the only video for the Schecter P4 exotic so far
I have the J-4 Exotic and oh my its a beast, when i bought it i played some Fenders Charvels and G&L etc but the J4 blew them all out of the water with its playability and tone
