Sydney’s Olympic Trials win ( In World record time, breaking her previous world record time) was as dominating as her margin of victory! She is also a great athlete to represent the United States 🇺🇸 in the Paris Olympic Games. During the trials to determine who would be on the U.S. Olympic team, it was the women’s events that I enjoyed most, and many of the top women sprinters in the world just missed out on being among the top three , who missed making the team were gracious in defeat. We will be sending one of our strongest Olympic teams ever to Paris next month. They are all comfortable in front of the camera’s & interview well! Bring home the gold, silver and bronze.

I've completely forgotten about this race. She shut down in the last few meters and finished with 55.2 as a 16 year old.

I just read her book, and it's quite sad to know how terrified she was before this race. She was so young. Incredible talent.

She has always has had more to give in the last 80 meters. Probably lots of 200 meter sprints in practice.

Six years later, she’s old and decrepit at 22. on the other hand… she’s broken her own world record four or six times in the past year. She has won the world championship, Olympic gold.In the Olympics, she got her second gold medal running a leg on the 4x400 relay. At this year‘s world championship, she anchored the 4 x 4 hundred relay, to yet another gold medal. In another 10 years, she will be the same age as the Delilah Muhammad is now. Her world record stands at 50.68 seconds. Not that much more to cracking the 50 second barrier.

I know it's an illusion, but even back then she didn't look like she was putting out that much effort.

Anna Cockrell is in this heat also and is a recent high school grad and probably the 2nd fastest high schooler of all time and was world junior champion. We are in good hands for the future....
