Forrin’ plates now they can’t touch meeeeeee 😏
I miss these roads! Good to see you back on here.
Cheers mate-loving my new lid too, but trying to figure out where to stick the GoPro and comms!
Been wondering were you have been
Cheers fella. It’s been a busy time, but finally finding time to ride again 👊
Hey Greg, what's it like touring on the 10? I'm thinking of going on a longer trip (something like 2000+ km), and I get anxiety just thinking about the bike's poor range. Do you carry a little jerry can with you? What soft / hard luggage do you have? How was your experience? Cheers!
Hello mate. I’m very comfortable doing long distance tours on mine. On a motorway cruise you’ll get at least 240km on a full tank. I have got to 280km a few times, but I’m usually looking to take a quick break after around 1.5 hours/200km (pee/stretch/drink) so I just fill up at the same time. I’ve never run out of petrol and I’ve done at least six 2,000+ km tours on the 10-no jerry can needed 👍 I’ve always used my trusty 40L roll top Givi bag mounted on a top case rack, plus a 15L Kreiga rucksack. Side panniers are easier to attach/remove, but my tail mounted bag has never let me down. As long as you have a decent wind screen and ear plugs, it’s a brilliant tourer 👌
@@ubergregmoto awesome, thanks for the detailed response, I really appreciate it. Cheers! ✌

Hi Greg😉 Apparently all you had to do was ask...🤨😏😂 👌✌️
It never disappoints 😏👌

Hey Greg hru? Was a long time....For me, ktm 1290 super duke r 2023, unfortunately now with my big problems of my mt10....too much for me. I hope all is good for u😉✌️
All is good here-I need to ride more 😁 So, no more MT-10? But the 1290 is 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Love this and that sound is emence.. sounds better then my £900 aki 😂😂

Sir, I will be more careful next time…

Much appreciated-have a good one 👊

Nope, I'm _ridin_ like an idiot…
Yes because there's pedestrians to put in danger... 😂
Tell me you’ve never ridden a bike without telling me This riding is perfectly fine, nothing idiotic about it - good pace, decent position, overtakes with visibility ahead.

Hi Greg. Sorry to bother you. But you have great technological knowledge of this bike. My MT 10 has now 12.000 km on it. On the last 1000 km I've noticed that shifting from 2nd to 3rd (and 4th) gear sounds very rough. Almost like neutral to first gear. But this happens only sometimes- maybe 2 times out of 10. The clutch lever is adjusted to 10mm on it's tightest spot. If the handlebar is straight, it's about 18mm. My chain slack is 24mm on the tightest spot. Is this normal for the MT10?
Hi David, not sure why the shifter is behaving that way. I’ve not had this issue and I never come across it on this bike. I’m guessing you’ve Googled this issue and maybe even checked owner groups and forums… Have you also checked your oil level? If your oil level is low or you need an oil change, that might have an effect on your shift quality. Lastly, if you still have the issue, I would book an appointment with a dealer or professional mechanic, to make sure it doesn’t lead to a very expensive problem in the future!
@@ubergregmoto thanks a lot. Oil level is barely under maximum - had the 10.000 km inspection 6 weeks ago. I will book an appointment with the dealer I bought the bike.
Who in the UK did your postal flash?
Junction33 (j33) - you can find them on Facebook 👌
@@ubergregmoto perfect! They have currently got my ECU should be getting it back this week, can’t wait now!
@@JS18K Did you get your ECU back? How are you liking it so far?
@@ubergregmoto yeah got it back, best money I’ve spent, the power is so smooth and sounds awesome 👍
Where did you remapped it?
I got it remapped at Junction33. It was a postal remap, but they’re based on the Midlands, I think. Search ‘J33’ on Facebook 👍
@@ubergregmoto do you remember how much you paid?
@@povilaslondon yes mate, £245 plus the cost of return shipping. It may be a bit more in 2024, but worth every penny and turnaround time was about 3 days.
Hey Greg! It’s your old neighbour.Great video you are doing h great 👍
Sold my MT-10 about 4 months ago due to financial reasons. Only had it about 9 months. I miss it every single day 😢
I'm really sorry man. I'd be devastated if I ever had to do the same...
Hey man! Nice rev matching action! In my experience nothing beats some manual downshifts, blippers are not quite there yet. Not to mention that it's more involving... what's your take on this? Also, did you get a chance to test ride a gen 2 bike? Cheers!
Much obliged! I've tried some really good blippers, but at this point it's pretty redundant for me and also not very satisfying. I might change my mind if I ever try the technology on a trackway, though… I never got the chance to try a gen 2, but at the same time not dying to do so as they both have the same glorious motor. The only thing I'm curious about are the acoustic vents on the top of the tank-the induction howl sounds awesome in PoV videos!
@@ubergregmoto For track work, yeah, it's one less thing that you have to focus on, potentially making you faster. The MT Tour is coming to my city this April, I've booked a test on the SP versions of the 09 and 10, hopefully I can shoot some nice audio / video and get a feel of the bikes...
@@mt-10addiction looking forward to your thoughts on the gen 2 when the vid drops, as you're someone who's actually lived with a gen 1. I really enjoyed the previous gen 09 SP I tried a few years ago, too.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
whats the best way to canyon carve these? you cant just hold emopen in the sweet spot like on a smaller engine cause suddenly you goin too fast a pace! maybe in mode 3 ? Im thinking of returning it to the original pre 2022 lower gearing I keep up with better riders with heavy breaking and heavier acceration to midigate any advantage they had in the corners....Oh please brakes! Stop us!!!
I keep the throttle map in mode 1 at all times-the fuelling is aggressive, but pretty consistent and gives the best response. On the tighter roads, I’m quite happy to keep the engine just below the sweet spot (so between 4 and 6k rpm) when coming out of corners which blunts the snappiness a bit but gives me access to to all the torques if I hang onto it a bit longer. Mostly though, if I want to really up the pace I’ll just keep it above 6k as much as possible, but this is rare on all but the most open, well-sighted roads. I’d probably be very naughty on those American canyon roads I always see in other videos-the roads are wider and you can see a lot farther. Replace stock brake pads with sintered ones and we’re onto a winner!
These beasts are so bloody fast they are just scary! Zipping around blind turns I really worry there might be something there and no time to stop! A crash? A cow? A deer? a drunk on the wrong side? VBut then if you ride sanely and reserved where the motor is barely breathing it is like "WHY do I own this beast HOW long will you hold that throttle open? The indicated MPH just flies across the screen and suddenly there is g force wind and and blurred visions have ask is this even FUN? Is it FUN to be terrified? WHY do I HAVE this thing even? There are 6 gears with a LOT of acceleration avaialable upon each shift! How long shall I hold her open? Damn 123 mph? I didnt mean to do THAT! Oh shit is a copper around? Amd I gonna get busted? or DIE? But wait this is TAME! Its the f*ckling R1 that is NUTS! 200hpish? 200mph? All tucked in? WTF?? How many people REALLY understand what is going on here?? lol Vast majority? clueless....they might crap they drawers!
Yeah, these hedge-lined UK roads mean it’s impossible to commit to the corner. I’ve encountered all the above surprises (and so much more). And boy, is this thing fast-too much for these kinds of roads, honestly. But still huge fun, mostly because of that engine 😍
Oh my God! It's not too noisy now? ....Only on the video it's loud! You're going to have to replay it on the bench for your loss of torque down there, aren't you? I'm telling you, we've got a gangster bike! 😂😉✌️
An MT10 can never be too noisy 😁 How is your doing? I can’t wait to ride mine properly again…
@@ubergregmotoMine's back in order, phew!...zero filings when I changed the running-in oil, my second running-in is finally complete, she's farting 🔥 I'd love to get rid of the cat, but here in France, it's time for the technical inspection, it's dead. I only have the Arrow exhaust without the chicane. We'll be happy to ride together if you come to the Ardennes in France.
@@Zurluk glad to hear everything is good with the bike, I would be crying if this happened to mine... I would also be crying if I couldn't remove my cat-this is how the bike is meant to sound! Tunnels are a hoot too
Hey Mate, Im a bike enthusiast.Im from india, rn in london and i want to visit this place. Ik this depends, but still can you suggest me when is the best time/day to visit this to see the best line-up?
Hello mate, the weekend is probably the best time to go, with lunchtime being a good time of the day to see the place buzzing. And of course if the weather is dry then you're likely to see the most bikes come through the place. The cafe itself is a great place to visit, no matter what time you drop by, but a dry Saturday or Sunday will probably have the biggest buzz 👌
The worst thing about the back roads is the traffic
Whaaat? It's like a giant, fun obstacle course. Uber drivers and Range Rovers make it extra spicy 👌
love riding up that way

Love this bike ! Love the engine !😍but 100 kilometers on a tank is just absurd 😂😂
Can't lie, the economy is... not good. But for me, personally: Worst mileage: 144 km from full to nearly empty (race track, up to 230kph, two times per lap) Best mileage: 283 km from full to empty (motorway touring)
@@ubergregmoto Mhmh yea that’s alright but for me maybe a little too expensive haha
Mate, since owning this bike: - I have taken out a separate line of credit, just for my petrol - I have my own personal tanker that follows me around - The petrol stations in my area all send me Christmas cards - I'm on a first-name basis with all the Saudi oil barons - When I store my bike for the winter the price of oil in my country drops Seriously, I get worse fuel economy than the family car, but when I twist grip back, it's so, so worth it 😍
@@ubergregmoto hahahahaha
