Leaf Clean Up with Cub Cadets
Fall Leaf Clean Up 2023
We like to mulch our leaves, bag them, and till them in right away. We find this routine to be the most efficient. When the leaves are mulched first, you can fit more in the bagger. The smaller leaves till in better and break down easier.
Today, we are using:
1979 782 Cub Cadet with 38" mower deck
1985 1711 Cub Cadet with International rototiller, model 2B
1993 1641Cub Cadet with 46" mower deck and bagger

You're going to be hard pressed to get a good crushed tomatoes without straining those somehow... I've seen several methods used. You can quarter them cook them, Cheesecloth them for acouple hours to strain, or boil whole strain, top and pop then strain. Either way, I have had no issues with clogging until 2 or 3 bushels in. I then just popped it off, gave it a couple taps and went back to it. Without straining it your really getting tomatoe puree, not truly a passata. The juicer works great. The speed, compared to a hand crank is unbelievable.
Don't forget to run the waste through again to get a little bit more
Great video! I’ve watched both your tomato and apple sauce now I’m going to bet that through your trials and tribulations you’re very qualified to answer my question. Did/have you have problems with the plug not letting enough of the peelings and seeds out? I’m at the point where I’m frustrated with it. I’m either putting the plug in too far or not enough. It doesn’t allow enough of the roughage to escape which in turn doesn’t allow the tomato juice with the right amount of of pulp to come out to make sauce without cooking it until have or half better of the juice left. Applesauce: does the plug put in the same way for applesauce? Also thinking about peeling the apples and coring them to feed through the larger screen. It would be more work initially but may pay off better in the long run. Your thoughts sir?
@cornbread2u2 yes! We've had the same trouble with the plug! Peeling the apples would help, but that kind of defeats the purpose of the machine. We don't have a good solution to share yet.
@@dbeerens1couldn’t agree more! I called LEM Tec support early today and didn’t get much help. They want me send a video of how I’m putting it together. I told them I’m not having a problem putting it together, I’m having a problem with plug and or the screen. They did tell me the plug goes all the way in. Just like pulling teeth! So as I was putting it together I decided to use the high yield screen and noticed there a slot in where the plug goes in that over half inch long. The screen that comes with it is a smaller slot. One of the three screens that you buy is for berries and it’s small also. I processed apples today and cooked them much like you did and ran ten pounds through it like i knew what I was doing 🎉 and didn’t take long at all! I’m pretty sure I’ll be us in the high yield screen when I start in on the tomatoes I froze, we couldn’t keep up with them. If you have any tips of frozen tomatoes please let me know. LEM knows they need to start doing videos with all the dos and don’t while processing actual fruits and berries but they just haven’t started yet. I’ll share anything else i find out about this juice attachment.
What’s the yield vs pounds of apples do you get? Looks great!
W dog
After you do this process, how do you store the apple sauce, so they'll last?
Worthless mutant dog worship. Thumbs down.
Dixie is such an amazing dog

don't recommend this channel
Great team work
Them older models were work horses. I have a 1976 1250 and a 1995 2145
Yes! Funny, how they multiply too!
Which screen for tomatoes?
Looks as though they are using the salsa screen judging by the wet 'waste' and a few seeds sneaking into the sauce itself.. I use the finest screen but to minimize waste I Def suggest blanching 1st.. I have a different model but similar function. So glad I bought. It makes canning day a breeze instead of a long day endeavor lol
@@dr.greenthumb6535 I make tomato juice and I think you get better flavor by bring quartered tomatoes to a boil or cooking them for a bit, before running through the strainer unit
@@terrycrissman7392with this attachment, you should not boil the tomatoes. That was a big mistake i made when I used this. They clogged up in the auger. Traditionally, I used that method, but for this attachment it doesn't work out the same.
would that work for squash and turnip?
I'm not sure! It might remove the skins from squash after it's baked/cooked. I've never done turnips!
Great job Dad. That young fella will be eating well. Hint... my wife adds Red Hot candie to a pile of the sauce and cooks down before canning. The kids love it.
I own the number 12 and for Christmas i got the juicer OLORDY !!!!! I love it!!!! i can't wait til garden comes off and fruit!! and blue berries and Black berry's Lordy i can't wait...
Nice work! I have a LEM too. I did 12 bushels of tomatoes this year. It's a major upgrade from the traditional method I grew up with!
Wow! That's a lot of tomatoes!
Do you know if this will work on other brands of grinders? I have a Cabelas carnivore is like to use with this.
Nice review. Thank you!!
very nice, may the force be with you, I all about doing Lego Star Wars animation now 👍👍🙂
