The reason you never hear or see Demon Firesage, is he's a carbon copy of the Demon in the basement of Undead Asylum, which himself is just a slightly souped up version of the tutorial Demon boss, so, it's often not regarded as one of the most interesting bosses in the game. Also, it's sandwiched between Ceaseless Discharge and (redacted) Demon, who are both more mechanically interesting (if perhaps more annoying), so, less people see Firesage as a big milestone.

you should kick the assassin's before attacking in case they parry hack you also the mask of the father is a trap item and isn't actually good, for poise or defence. you should use mask of the child if you want to wear a mask and then just equip ring of favor and protection and havel's ring.

-almost dying to the trash mobs before you even get to the boss -using a flask immediately before getting bodied and losing all the health you just healed -rolling early and getting hit by the delayed attack you KNEW was coming -pulling out the two-handed sword when you need to do some GD DAMAGE
