Harding Lake after warm weather
Had a couple days in the high 30s/low 40s. I walked out on the lake to go fishing and there's no traction. I'll try again in the spring.

How I fill my bear barrel
Просмотров 173 года назад
When I'm going some place, that I'll be able to get back to easily, I tend to not fill the barrel all the way. It just adds so much weight to the wheeler. Case and point, as I started my trip after this I immediately punctured my rear tire on something that I had drove over 4 times already.
Bear bait site setup

Went and put my bear barrel out today. Lots of chopping and getting swarmed by mosquitoes but it's done. I'll go back and check both sites this weekend.
Scouting for a bear site
Просмотров 373 года назад
I went looking for a place to set up a bear site and ended up finding an abandon bear site. I read the rules and it turns out you can leave a tree stand out year round with the land owners permission (which I doubt the person has). What you cant do is leave out your bear barrel. The barrel was empty with no markings and no trace of someone going back there. I'll head into town tomorrow and see ...

Testing out my lost creek kayak. Today was mostly just to see if I could fly fish standing up on it. Brought 3 rainbows home.
Fly fishing in South Korea

Hey there anyone watching. This is my second video that I'm uploading. I'm currently trying to figure out how to actually edit videos. So as of right now I'm only uploading single tapings. These are just tests prior to me getting to Alaska. Hope you enjoy.
Fly fishing in South Korea

Hey to anyone watching this! This is my first video that I'm uploading. I plan to be making a fishing/outdoor channel once I get to Alaska but for now I'm in South Korea for a year. Hope you enjoy.
That’s beautiful Mac but I guess ice fishing was out of the question yesterday
Underrated
Nice
I bought a used Lost Creek Pro 10.5 last year. The previous owner had jimmy rigged an outboard motor onto the back with a 2X4 and sticking out to the side so he could steer it by reaching behind him with the MINN Kota handle. This system required him to remove the rudder so he couldn't use the pedals. He told me if I didn't want to keep the motor on, which I immediately didn't, as I wanted the pedal option, all I had to do was remove the motor and the rinky dinky 2x4 mount and reinstall the rudder. Unfortunately, it wasn't that easy, and he didn't have the hardware to reinstall the rudder, or the ropes/cables to deploy/raise/ the rudder. I've had to search the hardware stores for such. I've tried contacting Boutique Boreal Design, by phone and email, who is supposedly the only supplier of parts for this brand of kayak. They won't reply on either method. I've looked on their website to see what parts I need, but I'm not exactly sure what I do need. I see a spring, supposedly for the rudder, but not sure. I'm not sure how the cables/ropes attach to the rudder and work. It looks like they wrap around the head of the rudder, but again not sure. I really appreciate any assistance such as pictures or descriptions of how to and/parts I need for the rudder, and if there's anywhere else to get parts. Supposedly Sportsmans Warehouse is the supplier, but my local store has none of the kayaks, only other brands and none of the parts. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP
You're probably better off adding a new rudder system like a beavertail. If you search Lost Creek on youtube you'll find a video from Peeling line with this exact upgrade.
Malarkey. 😂
You're taking all the Salmon from those poor bears... 😂
Ive fished that spot a lot and caught a lot of pike in that fishing spot right by the road between Fairbanks and North Pole
I have a riot mako 10 manufactured March 2021 sold through Bi-Mart under the name Cascade Pro. I’ve watched all the videos on RUclips and have made a few basic changes that make it perform better for me. First, I replaced the rudder line with a thinner and more flexible cord that makes it a lot easier to deploy and retract the rudder. Secondly I disconnected the rudder steering line (Left the wire cable inside the tubes) and tied the thinner cord to the rudder, routed the cord outside on top the rear sides up to under the seat and tied off with slack in front of seat. Now it is way easier to steer and can make sharper turns on the water with no effort at all! I recommend checking all screws to insure they are tight before initial use. I also used thinner cord to make an anchor trolley that slides easier. Under the seat I keep a dry bag with a towel. I also store the original heavy black line under the seat for use a a tow line. This model came with a chair that allows an additional five inches for the back rest to be moved backwards. I’ve also installed large drain plugs and made them into self draining. Additionally I molded keel guards for front and rear bottom hull protection. FYI, I’m 70 years old, 6’-1” and 225 lbs. and can easily load this light weight kayak. It stays dry inside for me and is very stable!
Film the actual bear hunt...please. Light his ass up!
Make a full bear rug out of him. Always wanted one of those sitting in front of a fireplace.
Snow in April. Its already 103 here in Phoenix.
