Shannon Smith Band

Recently I had the good fortune to be invited to see the Shannon Smith Band in Calgary. During their first set, I got the idea to try out my iPhone 13 Pro in low lighting to see what it really was capable of in the pro settings. The next morning I couldn't resist and put together a video to see how it would really look, and I was pretty impressed with the quality of the video. Shannon has given...

Elkhorn Ranch - Arizona

I had the fabulous opportunity to attend the digital photography workshop at the Elkhorn Ranch (Arizona) in January 2020. After the experience, I was inspired to put together a video to represent my experience there. Sarah Malarik, whom was one of my wranglers, is also an excellent photographer and she contributed 10 photos to this video. I highly recommend this ranch!

A wolf at the Calgary Zoo becomes a little too relaxed!
Просмотров 2485 лет назад
On Friday March 15, 2019 I went to the Calgary Zoo for the day with family. We were all caught off guard while watching the wolves, as this one wolf who was sunning himself on a rock, puts his head back, and the next thing we knew he was sliding down backwards off the rock and slid down the snow covered hill. I had never seen anything quite like that so I wanted to share.

That’s amazing. Wish we could have been able to continue yours also was a lot of work but peaceful
gosh that speckled horse. ooohhh the paint horse!!! so beautiful. elk are so cutte
I always stayed home with mine when my wife n kids would go places he didn’t do well on his own , left him for a day only one time , had a friend go to walk and feed him , normally if we were home he would get excited and bark at the door the first sign of any noise but my friend found him in his bed in our bedroom.. after that he was never left alone, he was my best friend and I miss him with all of my being he passed this past January at the age of 7 😢
I so understand that! She stayed with me while her hooman dad had to be gone, and at least she knew me very well and we had a lovely time together. But it’s obvious her dad was her Fav!

Very cool.
Oh my goodness! 😢❤🥹. I am considering a trip here during my sabbatical from work..April 2024. I was curious about the weather so I searched and your video came up. 😊. How absolutely GORGEOUS. Thank you so much for sharing. Aaaah nature you amazing gift! 🥹
I am so glad it was helpful! There was an overnight drop of 3 feet of snow, and it never deterred us. It was so beautiful with all that snow. But every year is different so it’s best to be prepared just in case. 😊
Herd animals need that social connection.
wow ,i like it
It might be a gay horse
Hi guys thinking of going at the end of April is it nice???
You will love it!
@@lcmunsell is it not frozen over??
It shouldn’t be by the end of April, but the weather up here has changed a lot in the past 5 years. So unpredictable unfortunately. But not everything will be frozen over, I guess it depends on what you are wanting to do while your there. The hot springs and the gondola up the mountain are great in all weather.
Great video
somebody has the big bucks! must be nice
If only!
Looks like some type of old wound on her side
nice video, considering a visit. hopefully its still a good place.
Was just there last year and I really enjoyed it! Going again this June…
@@lcmunsell thanks for the response
How nice to be adopted by another family, even if he looks a bit different from them. I wonder if he'll stay with his new family or wander off if he comes across a herd of elks. Thanks for sharing.
When I read one of the comments below, I saw that Ms. Munsell wrote that he stayed with the the horses until a herd of elk the following season came by, and then he left with them.
Hermosos todos
wow im surprised that there was not much snow in early april!!! i am planning to take a train tour to rocky mountain and struggling whether to go in march or april. April has longer daylight but i also wanted to see snows... this is why im watching this video cuz it says april 2022 and im surprised that there was not snow.... perhaps i should buy march train ticket...
It’s a throw of the dice as to how much snow will be there in April. It’s been oddly warm in the past few years. To be safe, I would most definitely book in March. But April can be gorgeous to. The train trip is so worth it!
@@lcmunsell you made a great helpful video~ cheers from toronto~
Thank you! Best wishes on your train trip! You will love it! Banff too!
No. I'll go to a working ranch to stay quietly. No dude ranches.
Beautiful video! What an adventure! 😃
Thank you!
Thanks for the walk down memory lane. The 7 years I spent in Banff are probably one of the most memorable times of my life. Thank you for bringing those memories back to me today.!!!
My absolute pleasure!
Massa Chow muito legal saldacoes do Brasil abraço a todos
What spectacular views!
They most definitely are!
Lolol 😳🤣🤦♂️🤓🥰😎
This is something else, in Siberia, marals form common herds with cows!
Nature is so amazing!
your videos are so cute! I LOVE YOUR CAT.... he is beautiful! Priceless how he loves his walks with you.... Now that's one cool cat!
your cat is gorgeous! watch the video below... It's a classic if you haven't seen it...
Russian wolf hound is an interesting breed too... family in my neighbourhood has two... Don't see them often.
one of my favorite breeds! he's gorgeous!
The best of the best!
what's nice is the horses all look very healthy and well care for!
They really are! I used to work there, as well as been a guest for many years! Highly recommend it!
I want to be a guest!
Aww, puppy
Elk: No one ever shoots at these guys...I'm hanging with them!
Looks like a bear attacked it. Amazing that it escaped and healed up from such severe wounds.
Looks like it would not have lasted much longer. You can see what looks to me to be a Lion attack, mountain lions, wolf, large black bear boars, but by the attack location I'm going with the Lion!
Awwwww!! He just wants a family to be with!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻😇✌️👍🦋
I loved this little story!! Great footage too! ❤️
they got themselves a young man his name shall be stubby
nice video!
Thank you!
My horse aggressively runs whitetail deer out of the pasture. He will stop and smell the air and stare, walk forward until the deer come into veiw then charge at them. I've watched him do it twice and the other horses don't seem to give a crap and only halfheartedly follow him because they all like to stay together.
So the "orphan" part was just something you imagined? How about 'Elk stops by to eat some of the hay put out for horses'
Seriously! Read through the comments before making a judgment. He lived there for six months, and was an orphan as far as the people who’s horses he was with knew. Nobody can be absolutely sure he was an orphan, but he had been injured and by himself, and he did stay with the the horses until a herd of elk the following season came by, and then he left with them. End of story.
A few ? Wow I've never seen so many together before ! I can just imagine the noise. 😀 I live in Ontario and I only see V shaped formations of maybe a dozen or so. I'm always happy to see them return every spring.
Once again, humans putting feelings on an animal that only goes by instinct.
Too bad you don't have the ability to communicate with animals.....they have feelings and are so often MUCH more intelligent than humans.
@@mariemason4252 Are they more intelligent? Have animals cured a disease? Painted a work of art? Built a skyscraper? How about the lion killing a zebra...is that intelligence or instinct? BTW, I can communicate with animals. They aren't saying very nice things about you.
@Denton and Sasquatch show Human intelligence and animal intelligence are very different, it's a proven fact that some Elephant mourn their own dead, AND often pay respect to other dead elephant, that is NOT instinct. Your doing exactly what you said that other people have done, putting human intelligence on a animal. So your EITHER a fucken MORON or a troll. IF you don't believe that animals have feelings then watch a dog greet his owner after a week AWAY! IF you are going to insult the people who are commenting perhaps you should do a little research before you open your fat MOUTH!
Beautiful sight to see. These Animals have it hard enough out there trying to survive.
The elk is smashing on that hay , maybe they should break the elk to ride, then it would be fabulous!
