Doesn't seem to work for black backgrounds and is imperfect on white when it comes to rendering. It looks fine in the viewport, but there are artifacts in the renderings (Blender 4.2) and you can clearly see the extent of your image.

I might need help. After I set the bones with the Child In thing and test it, the legs just disappear along with the tail I was porting a Giygas model by SAB64 and this video was perfect, but again the legs and tail disappearing when testing

one thing i found though if you combine it all into a single object the faces go up astronomically. I had like 1 million faces in the tree. Is it necessary to make a single object or can you just leave it as a particle system. If you scatter the object can it be not combined?
One issue I had was the density of leaves was too much second was the file I used I ended up finding a less dense image with more spacing in the leaves and I used photo shop to remove the white background so I could avoid the first part of the node setup. That helped a lot in avoiding having the white halo produced by isolating and having broken leaves.
I have an odd problem with the branch i made being inverted. It doesnt attach to the tree properly and instead pokes out of the tree. I figured it was an origin issue so I tried to make sure my objects both had their origins at the base but it didnt help.
I figured it out I was using a texture from blenderkit that was causing weird distortions in the branches because of some displacement map. I changed the texture to something that used actual images and the problem was fixed.

Very armature video and a quite a basic ragdoll tbh, you don't need to be going one by one in creating empties, just go to Object/Rigid/connect but first you need to select your owner first, then the child and I recommend assigning a shortcut. and to change the speed of the simulation is not by changing the time ramapping, but recalculate mass on each of the mesh and set the play back to "frame dropping" you also didn't cover any settings in editing the behavior of each joint, like damp, stiff ETC or enabling or disabling the simulation. and I don't see any way in working with a animated rig so it just only has one purpose which is ragdoll around. all the videos that I have come across about ragdoll are all the same while some cover a few things, they don't work as well.

Ok, now I see my problem. You clearly addressed it. The Simple Deform modifier has to go above the Particle System. Don't know why I didn't see that earlier.

BLENDER 4.2: The "Import Images as Planes" functionality has been added to base blender, no need to enable an addon. Just press Shift+A, go to Image, and select Mesh Plane.

little tip. If you are using a model that has a bone structure that does not line up with the body (ex. bones outside of the model for easier animation) You need to make the cubes follow the shape of the model not the rig

2:18 You can just hit A to select all bones, hit right click, parent, clear, and it'll do all of them for you.
how do u make it stop? the object just keeps going and doesn't stop
below the place where you input the duration of the animation is the clamp option which will restrain it from continuing after the path has ended (this is for 4.0 and above)

I wish we could see all the restraint values for the empties bc when i hit play everything gets insanely deformed and flies all over the place. I keep changing the angle numbers but I cant figure out a rhyme or reason to the results, but I see when you hit play your guy stays in tact
