Designing an Antweight Battlebot for Battle Bots Sweden
Просмотров 1,3 тыс.Год назад
Me and a friend organized a competition called Battle Bots Sweden. We each built a 1lb antweight battlebot and invited some more robot builders to compete with us. This is how I designed, assembled and tested my horizontal spinner robot. I needed to improve the lighting conditions in my apartment so I decided to make my own 3D printed camera light. In the video I show you how i designed, 3D printed, assembled and tested the camera light. The design is made in Onshape, here is the link the the CAD files: cad.onshape.com/documents/cf9d965ae36f72da890e5ee1/w/eb321303570c34db6e3ad9f4/e/5ffe25bc778c86c2b4a4203e Music Soaring by Ghos...
Mini Sumo, from design to competing in Robot SM 2019
Просмотров 20 тыс.5 лет назад
In early April, our team "Devex Robotics" competed in Robot-SM 2019. Robot-SM is a competition that is arranged annually by Chalmers Robot Association since 2006 where teams build robots that compete in different challenges such as Mini Sumo, Line tracking and Folkrace. Devex Robotics designed and built a Mini Sumo robot, "DevexDestroyerDroid" and we managed to get second place. This video show...

    Nice build! Thanks for sharing. Could you share the component list? Like the on/off switch, wheel motors, blade motor, ESC:s and other ICs. What is the advantage of having a belt drive instead of direct drive of the blade? I noticed that the belt dislocated in battle bot SM. I guess that makes the motor's powercables less exposed and allows gearing.

    Kul!

    • @opmechatronics6920

      The idea with the robot controller was that if you have an electric failure then you just need to replace one component, plus it's compact with less wires.

    Looks like a nice robot! Do you find the motor encoders make it easier to control? Which microcontroller are you using? I don't recognise it.

    • @opmechatronics6920
      @opmechatronics6920 Год назад

      Thanks! I added motor encoders to implement automatic functions for example the flipper on top of the robot. In this case they didn't effect the control of the wheels. The microcontroller I use is a Arduino Nano 33 IoT.
