Tried July 2024, and it didn't work. It installs 365. I searched "Office Customization Tool", and downloaded the "LTSC 2021 version", and that worked and gave me Office 2019 - no license required.

Let this be a lesson to everyone. Just because something is old, does NOT mean it's useless and not worth keeping around. People look at me and ask "Why do you still use XP? It's so old and you can't even go online with it!" Well, so's yer mom. But you keep her around, don't you? I do some of my best development work on XP or Win7, depending on the project. Most of the time, what's newer isn't at all better, not by a long shot. Hell, I still use Win98 on occasion. Just because it's old, doesn't mean you should throw it away. Except for food, of course. Old food is bad. heh

Thanks for sharing. i tried installing Vista home premium (genuine copy) both from the cdrom and usb flash drive on Acer laptop that previously had Windows 10 (which i deleted already). But on both installations i receive an error message: "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing". Have you encountered such error message before? Reason for installing: so i can install an old Windows 3.1 printer setup disk for a Panasonic KX-P1150 dot matrix printer. i need to install the printer driver from the original setup disk in order to install Draft Fonts on my PC which will appear in MS Word. Can you help me out. i'd appreciate it. Thanks very much. Tried online methods to no avail.
